Hey guys,
After attending the Sports Council Meeting yesterday I have been asked to pass on information about exciting positions open within the Sports Union.
Individuals nominate themselves for these positions (you can nominate yourself from now until 11:59pm on Thursday the 20th of October) and the elections will take place on Friday the 21st of October at 3pm in Level 2 of the Union in Paisley.

along with a copy of a manifesto which will be circulated to Sports Union members at the Extraordinary Sports Council meeting. You are not able to apply for more than one position at a time.
You can only stand for election for positions if:
You are a fully paid member of Team UWS (Not an Erasmus membership)
You are an ordinary member of SAUWS as defined in the Students' Association's constitution.
If any of the positions remain unfilled at the end of the election cycle, the President of Sport & Wellbeing (Johnathan) will appoint students to any unfilled positions.
The positions to be elected for the Sports Union Executive Elections are:
VICE PRESIDENT -
Shall deputise for the Sports President in any matters deemed fit by the Sports President.
Oversee the work undertaken by the Sports Executive.
Work with the Sports President to oversee the development of new and existing sports clubs.
Oversee the organisation of any intramural event or competition alongside the Media & Events Officer.
Undertake any duties as may be delegated by the SE or SC and report on their discharge.
SECRETARY-
Be responsible for the taking of minutes at each of the Sports Executive and Sports Council meetings.
Be responsible for the distribution of business of the Sports union to the relevant people.
Be responsible for the collection of affiliation and membership information.
Undertake any duties as may be delegated by the SE or SC and report on their discharge.
TREASURER-
Work with the Sports Administrator to keep an up to date Sports Union budget.
Provide each sports club with an up to date finance report monthly.
Present the finances to the Sports Executive and Sports Council at each meeting.
Support the Sports Union and each sports club in their annual budget submission.
Undertake any duties as may be delegated by the SE or SC and report on their discharge.
EVENTS AND MEDIA OFFICER
Be responsible for all material produced to promote the Sports Union including social media and advertisement around each campus.
Work with the Sports President on the annual Team UWS Sports Ball.
Be responsible for any Sports Union events held throughout the year.
Work with the Sports President and Sports Administrator on the annual varsity events.
Undertake any duties as may be delegated by the SE or SC and report on their discharge.
WELLBEING OFFICER
This position is subject to approval by the Sports Council, therefore no description is currently available at present.
