Help2Rehome Scotland

Help2Rehome Scotland www.Help2Rehome.com Help2Rehome Scotland assist owners in Scotland (England if necessary) to rehome their pets in a private capacity.

We are a private rehoming service. Our service is designed to assist owners to find their pets suitable and loving homes when they cannot look after their pets anymore, life changes, moving house, new job or having a baby. We have also assisted families when loved ones have passed away or sadly went to prison. We support owners in a confidential way to ensure their pet is safely rehomed to a home

that has been vetted and new owners are suitable to the pets needs. Pet owners receive updates from Help2Rehome Scotland / new owners when their animal has been rehomed for their own peace of mind. We have a small team who work across Scotland. Our team carry out home checks on new owners, offer help with transport and can give help and advice regarding rehoming. If you need help, give us a call on 0330 133 4594 between 10am and 4pm Monday - Saturday or email [email protected]

“Another poor pet not wanted”

These are some of the comments that we have to continually remove from our social media on a daily basis.

Can you imagine working on our animal helpline from 10am until 4pm, taking a call from a distressed and distraught owner who has just lost their partner, their mum, been evicted from their home, lost absolutely everything, and had to then make the heartbreaking decision to call us, speak to a stranger and tell their story.

Seek that help. Ask for help. All the uncertainty, taking that leap to find a home for their pet that benefits their needs,

Then reading a comment like that.

You never know what other people are going through.

Not so long along, people preached “Be Kind”.
That’s in all walks of life.

Be kind to your neighbour, you don’t know what they are going through or why people need to rehome their pet.

Reserved pending a home check.

Gina is a lovely 6 year old female Yorkshire Terrier. She is looking for a new home as her owner is sadly having to move abroad.
Gina has just got her booster injection, microchipped and spayed.
When she hears a noise at night she will give a little growl but is otherwise very happy and quiet.
Gina is a lapdog for sure! She loves to sit in your lap and be given attention.
She is a fussy eater as most Yorkies can be, she loves being tickled on her belly or behind her ears.
Gina likes company, therefore would be best with someone who is home most of the time. She will come and sit next to you if you are having a lazy day.
She hasn't lived with kids or other dogs, but would like a friendly, calm dog for company. She would prefer a home with adults only. She has lived along side 2 cats also.
Gina had previously been on public transport. She is fit and healthy with no issues.
Gina likes natural yoghurt with banana squished in, she has also been use to a raw food diet, cooked chicken and mince.
She loves people.
Gina is registered with the vets and has a full service history and travels well in the car.
She walks well on the lead. She loves treats which her owner calls sweets, if you say ''do you want a sweetie'' her eyes will light up.
She is not crazy about toys.
She will grab an empty toilet roll and play games with her owner chasing her about, she enjoys this but it doesn't usually last long.
Gina would suit someone who can give her as much love and attention as her previous owner.

''Hello Help2Rehome,

Just a wee update on Oscar & Radley - they’ve settled in really well & we’re totally besotted with them.

I can’t imagine them not being here. We’ve kept in touch with their previous owner’s sister & she’s really happy that they’re settled. I’ve sent some photos to her as well.

Thanks so much for bringing these 2 gorgeous dogs into our lives 😍

I’ve attached a photo of Oscar & Radley chilling out after their morning walk.

Take care
Alison''.

Happy new home Radley and Oscar.

Zelda is a lovely 8 year old female cat. She is looking for a new home and would be best in a peaceful quiet home.
Zelda is use to kids, no other pets as she has never lived with other animals before.
Zelda is chipped and spayed and healthy with no medical issues.
She is a house cat and doesn't get outside.
Zelda eats Felix cat food (Ocean feast) and does use a litter tray.
She loves dreamies, especially the Duck Flavoured treats.
Zelda does have a carry box and has always had the same owner.
Zelda is based Glasgow but can be rehomed anywhere.

Reserved pending a home check.

Bella is a 9 year old female Norfolk Terrier x Jack Russell.
Sadly Bella's owner passed away and she needs a new home.
She is good with other dogs and children. Bella is also healthy with no medical issues.
She eats a mix of dry food, any kind, she isn't fussy.
Bella can be left on her own if you need to go out. She sleeps in the kitchen at night in her bed, but did like to cuddle up with her owner.
She can be shy to begin with and may bark at new people but comes out of her shell very quickly.
Bella is fine in the car and likes the window down slightly.
She sadly doesn't have any paper work. Bella can give paw and will go to bed when told.
She hasn't been around cats - if she see's one in the garden she will bark.
Bella would suit a home with someone who can give her lots of time and attention.

Reserved pending a home check

Junior is a gorgeous 10 month old Staffy cross English Bull terrier.

His mum was a full staffy and his dad half English Bull Terrier. He is a blue colour.

Junior is needing a new home through no fault of his own. His owner absolutely adores him however as his work has now changed, it means Junior is left on his own for long periods of time.

He can be left on his own, but does love people and would like someone who can spend lots of time with him on walks and giving him attention.

Junior has always lived with kids and loves them. He attends doggy day care and is good with other dogs and new humans. He has never been around cats. He is such a lover to people and adores humans.

Junior is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.

He eats kibble and wainwrights from Pets at Home and loves the green lamb and rice variety.

Junior is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He can be strong on the lead, this may need a bit more work.

He travels okay in the car, its not his favourite but he is ok.

Junior loves treats and is motivated by treats. He is great meeting new people and has lots of energy. His recall is good but may need a bit more work.

Could you offer this lovely lad a new home? If so, please email a bit about yourself to [email protected]

Meet the team.

Daryl - Founder Help2Rehome Scotland

For Daryl, helping animals isn’t simply something he does — it’s something that has been at the heart of his life for the past 21 years.

Over that time, he has worked with animals, supported thousands of owners and helped thousands of pets on their journey to a new home.
He has seen the very best and the very worst that rehoming can bring, and has been there through the happy endings, the difficult decisions and all the moments in between.

But for Daryl it has never been about being in the spotlight.

It has always been about the animals.

Help2Rehome Scotland was founded with a simple but incredibly important belief: when an owner has to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome a pet, they shouldn’t have to feel as though they are simply saying goodbye forever.

Rehoming should be safe, responsible and compassionate — and where possible, owners should be able to know how their beloved pet is getting on, see photographs, hear their stories and have the reassurance that they made the right decision.

That belief is what drives everything Daryl does.

After years of being behind the scenes, it’s now time to introduce the person behind Help2Rehome a little more openly.

“I want people to see me as I see them — as someone who is loving, honest, loyal and genuinely caring about animals.”

Having facilitated countless rehomings, spoken to thousands of owners and experienced every kind of situation imaginable, Daryl understands just how emotional and personal rehoming can be. Sometimes the stories are straightforward. Sometimes they are incredibly difficult. And sometimes there are rehomings that happen quietly, without anyone ever knowing just how much work, care and emotion went into making them happen.

Through it all, the focus remains the same: doing what is right for the animal.
Whether you are an owner looking for help, someone considering rehoming, or simply have a question about how Help2Rehome works, Daryl wants you to know that there is a real person here who will listen.

Approachable, honest and always willing to help, Daryl describes himself as an “open book”.

After 21 years working with animals and thousands of pets helped along the way, there is a huge amount of experience behind Help2Rehome Scotland — but at the heart of it is something much simpler:

A genuine love for animals and a desire to make rehoming a kinder, safer and more compassionate experience for everyone involved.

“I’m here. I’m approachable. And if you need to reach out to Help2Rehome Scotland, please do. You’ll always find a real person who cares.”
