📍A few days in Malaga recovering…

It looked very different to my usual routine.

☀️ Long walks in sunshine sightseeing
😴 Extra sleep when I’ve needed it
🍽️ Delicious food without overthinking it
📚 Reading and listening to podcasts
🏊 Time by the pool
🍹 A few drinks thrown in too

Would I recommend alcohol as a recovery tool? Definitely not but I only had a few 🤫

Just giving my body and mind exactly what they needed after a busy 4/5 months of building the TL Method, a solid training block for the comp off the back of a block for my last comp, coaching, working on the Warrior Chic community, preparing for retreats, etc - this is exactly what I needed.

Recovery for me is about stepping away from the pressure of business, slowing down, reducing stress, giving my mind a break and allowing my body to recharge.

And rest and recovery is one of the key parts to managing my Endo too so I implement a lot of time filling my cup.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do for your health, performance and wellbeing is to rest.

And not feel guilty about it.

A little appreciation post for Julie Lyle

This weekend I had the privilege of standing on the competition floor alongside one of our Warrior Chics, Julie.

5 years ago Julie joined feeling completely lost and not sure who she was anymore.

As a busy mum of four, she spent years putting everyone else first and herself last.

In her eyes, she wasn’t a priority.

When she joined she barely spoke to anyone because she was there to lose weight….

Nothing else!

Since then, she’s lost over 4 stone, transformed her health, taken on challenges she never thought possible and become one of the most resilient women I know.

She then became a WC Assistant Coach and she often asks why I chose her…

It’s hard to put into words but all of this and Saturday on that competition floor - that’s why.

What makes her journey even more inspiring is that she’s done it all whilst navigating endometriosis and now perimenopause.

There was a time when some of the movements we faced on Saturday felt impossible for her.

Box jumps were one of them.

On competition day?

She completed 20 of them, even with a judge who couldn’t count…

Not because it was easy.

But because she refused to let her circumstances define what she was capable of.

She often questioned whether or not she was good enough to stand on that competition floor with me…

She absolutely is and I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d rather have stood on that floor with!

Standing beside her reminded me exactly why I started Warrior Chic.

To give them a safe space where they can be unapologetically themselves.

To help women get strong and fit AF whilst building a lifestyle that works for them!

To help women realise they’re capable of far more than they think.

Julie, you really don’t realise how inspiring you are.

But I hope you know how proud I am of you and how honoured I was to share that competition floor with you.

Thank you for becoming the sister I never asked for 💖✨

Yesterday wasn’t really about lifting weights.

Yes, I matched the overhead press target I’d set myself.

Yes, I squatted 4kg more than I’d planned.

And yes, I deadlifted 7.5kg more than I’d planned.

But the reason I signed up for this competition wasn’t to chase PBs.

It was to prove something to myself and to every woman living with endometriosis who has ever wondered what her body is capable of.

Because there have been times when I couldn’t walk for more than a few minutes.

Times when I’ve been bed-bound.

Times when I’ve questioned whether I’d ever feel strong again.

Times when I questioned the point in living.

Endometriosis has challenged me in more ways than I can count, but it hasn’t stopped me.

And that’s the message I want other Endo Warriors to hear:

Your diagnosis does not define your potential.

Will there be setbacks? Absolutely.

Will there be flare-ups, bad days, and moments where you doubt yourself? Of course.

But your body is capable of far more than you might believe right now.

And working on lifestyle factors is key to managing symptoms in order to reduce flares and inflammation to be able to do things like this!

Yesterday’s lifts weren’t just kilos on a bar.

They were years of not quitting, showing up, adapting, changing gears, learning, and refusing to give up on myself.

My mission is to show other Endo Warriors what is possible whilst living alongside it!

I teach all of this on my Strong Endo Warrior Course. Comment ENDO for more info!

Tomorrow I am doing my first strength and conditioning competition.

And this is my second comp this year!

If you’d told me 10 years ago that I’d be doing competitions I wouldn’t have believed you.

Not because I wasn’t strong or fit enough.

But because at that point I was in the trenches and thought Endo had taken my life!

Since being diagnosed with endometriosis, there have been countless times I’ve questioned what my body was capable of.

I’ve had long periods of time where I haven’t been able to walk for more than 5 minutes let alone run and lift weights.

There have been flare-ups where I’ve been bed bound for weeks.

I’ve bled through mattresses, clothes and passed out so many times due to it.

I’ve gained weight and not been able to perform at my best.

There have been so many setbacks.

Training blocks that haven’t gone to plan.

Days where I’ve wanted to throw the towel in.

This week alone I’ve felt exhausted and wondered if I’ve done enough.

And Endo exhausted isn’t the same as feeling tired!

That’s the thing with Endo, you never truly know how you’re going to be day to day!

But here’s what I’ve learned:

You’re in control.

You can manage your symptoms before it becomes a flare.

You can adapt and keep moving forward.

It doesn’t have to stop you!

Confidence doesn’t come before you do the thing.

It comes because you do the thing.

This comp isn’t about competing against other people.

It’s about showing other Endo Warriors what is possible!!

It’s about proving to myself, once again, that I can do hard things.

That endo doesn’t define me nor stop me.

It might alter things but that’s just an obstacle for me to climb over and grow more.

And that’s exactly what I want for the women I coach too.

Not necessarily competitions.

Just the belief that they’re capable of more than they think.

That Endo doesn’t have to stop them.

That they can build a life they love, alongside Endo.

And if I can stand on that competition floor tomorrow, after everything my body and I have been through together…

You can do that hard thing you’ve been putting off because of your endo 💛

It’s never as simple as losing weight…

A lot of Warrior Chics’ join and they set their first goal of losing weight.

Usually within the first 6 months they realise there is in fact much deeper work that needs to be done.

Take for example.

She joined 7 years ago to lose weight and she did… she dropped 30kg but the thing she realised was that it was the mindset work she needed more of.

To dig deeper into habits, behaviours and repeated cycles that have held her back all her life.

And the thing with mindset development is that it’s never complete.

You’ll always be a working project ✨

You’ll always evolve ✨

There will be many different versions of you throughout your life and that’s ok!

That’s how it’s supposed to be.

Our doors are currently open to join our community membership for only £27.99pm!

Something I’ve noticed over the years of running a business and it’s getting worse…

Some people are fully committed right up until it’s time to pay.

Then suddenly the messages stop.

The check-ins stop.

The booking system goes quiet.

And communication disappears.

Here’s the thing…

I never expect people to continue coaching if it no longer suits them.

If finances have changed, tell me.

If your priorities have changed, tell me.

If you don’t feel it’s the right fit anymore, tell me.

I can work with honesty.

I can’t work with silence.

Running a business isn’t just showing up for sessions.

There are bills to pay, salaries to cover, coaches to cover sessions, venues to hire, insurances, equipment to buy/maintain, subscriptions to run platforms we use to coach you and hours spent supporting clients behind the scenes to name a few things.

When you join coaching, you’re not just paying for an hour in the gym. You’re paying for the years of experience, the support between sessions, the planning, the systems, the community, the education, the events, and the infrastructure that allows me to show up consistently for my clients.

When someone disappears rather than having a conversation, it doesn’t just impact them, it impacts the business too and community too!

The irony is that the people who avoid the conversation are usually the ones who need it most.

Because accountability inside the Warrior Chics’ isn’t just about workouts and nutrition.

It’s about having difficult conversations.

It’s about taking ownership.

It’s about doing what you said you would do.

It’s about showing up as you are each day.

If you’ve committed to something and it’s no longer working, that’s okay.

But communicate.

A simple message shows respect.

And respect goes both ways.

I’m sure I can speak for a lot of business owners when I say this - please respect our time and business. Speak to us, we are human and will probably understand more than you think.

That I got a new hairdo 💁🏽‍♀️

Jokes… I did, but that’s not what I want to talk about.

You may have noticed my page has a new name: My Coach TL.

Or maybe you didn’t, but I’ll continue anyway 🤣

After a lot of thinking, I wanted a brand that felt more personal and reflected everything I do.

If you’ve been following me for a long time, you might remember me as TL-Fitness. That was my brand name for around 18 years. I’d well and truly outgrown it, but I never quite knew what to change it to.

Last year I tried The Lifestyle Coach.

Then I moved to The Endo Lifestyle Coach.

Neither of them really felt like me, and if I’m honest, the latter started to feel like it excluded a lot of people from connecting with me.

Many of you already know me as TL, and over the years I’ve been lucky enough to support women through all stages of life — health, fitness, lifestyle change, endometriosis, PCOS, perimenopause, sports massage, yoga, events, retreats, challenges, and our amazing Warrior Chic community.

So I kept racking my brain for a name that would encompass everything I do, while still allowing me to grow and evolve in the future.

Then I started paying attention to what people were actually calling me.

“My coach TL.”

I heard it once.

Then again.

Then again.

And again last week.

And suddenly it clicked.

How had I not heard it before?

It felt right.

So I’ve decided to bring everything together under one name: My Coach TL.

Don’t worry, nothing else is changing.

You’ll still find:

💪 Warrior Chic
🎗️ Strong Endo Warrior
🌿 Lifestyle Coaching
💆🏽‍♀️ Sports Therapy
🏃‍♀️ Training, movement and wellbeing
🤝 A supportive community of incredible women

This is simply the next step in the journey.

Thank you for being here, supporting me, and allowing me to do what I love every day 💛

I appreciate every single one of you ✨

Growing up, I never felt like I belonged anywhere.

Belonging is a basic human need. We all want to feel accepted. To feel part of something bigger than ourselves.

But for most of my life, I never had that.

Not at school.
Not at college.
Not in my first proper job.
Not playing netball.
Not playing volleyball.
Not even in my running club.

Then, when I was 18, I started circuit training with

For the first time in my life, I felt like I belonged.

Like I was exactly where I was meant to be.

I trained four times a week for years with the circuits gang. It became more than exercise. It became my people, my routine, my safe place.

And that experience changed my life.

It’s one of the reasons I ended up working in the health and fitness industry.

I wanted to create that feeling for other people.

A place where they could feel supported, encouraged and accepted for who they were.

A place where they could become stronger, fitter and more confident without judgment.

A place with no drama or cliquiness.

After years of coaching, learning and teaching over 25 fitness classes a week, the Warrior Chics was born.

And the thing I hear time and time again is:

“I’ve finally found my tribe.”

Or

That they feel a real sense of belonging!

Many of the women inside our community tell me it’s the first place they’ve ever truly felt they belonged.

And honestly?

That’s pretty damn special ✨

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in anywhere, I want you to know you’re not alone.

And if you’re looking for a supportive community of women who genuinely want to see you succeed, drop me a DM and let’s chat 💜
