What an incredible trip for the City of Glasgow Swim Team! From hard training sessions in the pool to making unforgettable memories together, Club La Santa 2026 has been a huge success.

A fantastic week of dedication, teamwork, laughter and friendship, with every swimmer giving their all and representing the club brilliantly.
A massive thank you to our coaches and team managers for their hard work, support and commitment throughout the trip. None of this would be possible without everything you do for our swimmers πŸ’š

City of Glasgow Swim Team (COGST) are delighted to announce that Chris Jones has been appointed as the new Head and Performance Coach for COGST.
Chris was previously successful in creating the University of Edinburgh Performance Swimming Programme in 2008 and for 17 years has coached many swimmers to achieve their Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games goals. Chris has coached at World and European Championships, Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, European Junior Championships and World University Games. Chris has also been involved in the Scottish swimming pathway for 24 years and the club looks forward to benefiting from his extensive experience. Ian Wright, National Coach, Scottish Swimming added β€œChris brings a wealth of experience and a clear understanding of what it takes to build a performance environment. The Glasgow programme is strategically important and has real ambition and potential. I’m looking forward to seeing Chris lead the next phase of the programme’s growth and success.”
Chris will be working with the other COGST coaches to develop plans for the relaunch of the programme ahead of the new season, this will be revealed once the Holiday period and Commonwealth Games have finished. Chris Jones added β€œI am absolutely delighted and honoured to be named Head and Performance Coach of this amazing club. As soon as the opportunity came along to coach at COGST I was eager to get involved. Everyone associated with the club has been very welcoming and supportive, I can’t wait to get officially started. I will work tirelessly with the coaching team, committee, Scottish Swimming and key stakeholders to help drive the programme forward. I am all in, let’s Go Glasgow!
With the return to the main Tollcross pool and the appointment of Chris, the future is bright for COGST. Go Glasgow!

Weekend racing has now concluded at Cumbernauld β€” and what a weekend it was for our swimmers!

Our team of 18 swimmers delivered an incredible performance across 59 swims, achieving an outstanding 100% PB record. Every single swim resulted in a personal best β€” a phenomenal clean sweep and a true reflection of the hard work, commitment, and determination shown by the swimmers.

A huge well done to all of our swimmers for their fantastic efforts throughout the weekend. Thank you as well to our coaches for their continued support and guidance, and to our technical official volunteers who helped make the event possible.

What a team!

On Saturday, 2 of our 2026 Scottish Open Water Development Squad COGST swimmers headed to Stirling University for a season launch training day. Andrew and Abbie had a great day training with the rest of the Scotland squad and enjoyed a brilliant talk from Sean MacCann about his experiences in open water competing. Cole and Jensen who have also qualified, were competing at WD. Good luck with the season ahead swimmers πŸ’ͺ
