National Open Water Development Squad 2026 🙌

Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships

​Good luck to Andrew Paterson (16) and Abbie McMillan (17/18)! 🏊‍♂️💨

​After placing in the top 3 at the Scottish National Open Water Championships, both swimmers have qualified for the prestigious 7.5km GoCardless Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships this Saturday at Rother Valley Country Park.

This is a tough event and a great acheivement for both swimmers to have qualified again. The event is recognised as the premier competition for UK open water swimmers.

​Best of luck to Andrew, Abbie, and coach Michael Flynn as they take on the biggest UK open water event of the season! 👏

And thats a wrap for Sheffield! Congratulations to everyone who qualified! Amazing achievement to be here. Quite a few camera shy swimmers..and coaches. Big thank you to all our COGST coaches who have worked tirelessly throughout the season...not finished quite yet..Head Coach Chris will be updating us from Ireland for a few more days and our OW National qualifiers have still to go this weekend..and then its break! Remeber...still time to get your awards night tickets.. 🍾🍾💃🕺

Well.. what's better than a hat trick.. 4 podium finishes.. Nik takes home Bronze in both the 200 BK and the 50 Free this evening! And delighted to see Abi Mc drop 3 places in the 100 Fr final taking 6th in a new PB! Congratulations to you both.. final day tomorrow in Sheffield.
