Hello All,
As we approach tech weekend this weekend here are just a few notes on what to expect.
TECH WEEKEND
SATURDAY – GET IN
CHORUS - 12pm until 2.30pm
PRINCIPAL DANCERS - 12pm until 4pm
PRINCIPAL CAST - 12pm until 5pm
When you arrive, please head into the small hall to the right of the main hall, as scenery and set will be being moved in the main hall and we don’t want to have any accidents.
This rehearsal will be to go over all the songs and dances for the show and to try on your costumes (see below), so please wear clothes you can dance in and bring a bottle of water.
SUNDAY – TECH REHEARSAL – ALL CAST AND CREW – 12PM TO 5PM
This will be a full run through of the show in costume, with lights, sound, set and special effects.
This can be quite a long day and we would advise to pack a packed lunch or some snacks and water. It is also a good idea to pack a quiet activity (such as a book) to entertain yourself quietly while not on stage.
COSTUME
Tech Weekend marks the start of our dress runs – so from here out we will be in costume. Please see the list below of what is needed and bring this along on Saturday.
🎭 COSTUME REQUIREMENTS 🎭
CHORUS
• Rats: Please bring jeans.
• Villagers: Please bring black leggings and a white/light t-shirt.
• Principal Dances: Black tights.
• Footwear:
o Black shoes (black trainers are fine), or
o Any colour of dance shoes (jazz shoes, character shoes, etc.)
Optional (but helpful!):
Chorus members may want to wear a strappy top/t-shirt and shorts/leggings underneath your costume to make quick-changes easier.

PRINCIPAL CAST – COSTUMES
• Scab / Blister / Rat King / Dick / Fitzwarren / Captain / Mr Cheddar: Dark trousers.
• Mr Cheddar/Harold: White shirt.
• Chief: White shirt, formal jacket, kilt accoutrements.
• Anyone wearing a dress: Please bring your own tights.
• General note: If your costume fabric is thin, please wear a top/shorts underneath as stage lights may make it slightly see-through.

PRINCIPAL CAST – SHOES
• Tom: Black flat shoes
• Alice: Black dance shoes
• Sarah / Belles / Mrs Chief: Heels or flats to match your dress
o If you don’t have a matching pair, that’s fine — just make sure you can walk, move, and dance safely.
• Jack: Boots or Converse (any colour)
• Rat King / Scab / Blister: Black shoes — boots preferred, dark Converse acceptable
• Fitzwarren / Dick: Black boots preferred; black dress shoes if not
• Mr Chief: Black dress shoes
• Hamish / Harold: Black shoes or trainers
SHOW WEEK
During show week all cast will be required from 6.30pm every night and from 12pm for the Saturday Matinee.
