RETURN OF WEST DISTRICT YOUTH HOCKEY.
Next Sunday sees the return of our Sunday Youth Hockey sessions which begin on 20th at Auchenhowie, home of Western Wildcats Hockey Club with the U8's getting things going with a session running from 9.15 to 10.15 followed by the U12's who's session runs from 10.30 to 12. These sessions are open to member clubs of Women's West District Hockey Association and West District Hockey all of whom should have been notified already, if not please contact Jamie Grant via [email protected] to ensure your club is on our mailing list, your contacts are up to date, and have the opportunity to attend.
West District youth hockey also offers spaces to clubs or individuals who can't make up a team but should still have the opportunity to enjoy the experience, so again please contact Jame at our youth email and he'll make sure everyone get's an opportunity to participate.
For your diary our next juniors session will be at Bothwell Castle Policies, Uddingston on Sunday 27th September and feature the U10's and 14's. We'll advise times and any other relevent information next week.
This is one of, if not our most important iniatives over each season as we, along with our clubs need to continually attract new talent to our sport, be they players, umpires, technical officials or people who just want to spectate or help, and are delighted Jamie Grant of Giffnock Hockey Club has agreed to join us and lead as Wests new Youth Convenor. We would also like to thank our previous youth convenor Ross McWilliams for his dedicated and successful work over many years.
