Bee Sporty classes are aimed at children aged between 2 and 7 and are designed to develop your child’s movement skills. The classes will involve fun activities and games which focus on key movements for each age group. The program is focused on core skills such as agility and balance, so each week we will focus on a particular skill. We will have a warm up exercise before playing games and activities that will help to develop that week’s skill. The games are designed to be fun and engage your child’s active imagination. For example, when focussing on balance, your child might be a giant using stepping stones to cross a fast flowing river, or a pirate walking the plank, avoiding the hungry crocodiles below. You may recognise some of the games from your own childhood- classic games such as ‘Simon Says’ or ‘Whats the Time Mr Wolf’ can be used to develop your child’s movement skills. Not only will the classes help to improve your child’s movement skills, they will help to develop key personal skills. At every age we will develop confidence and social skills. At the older levels your child will also develop skills such as teamwork and decision making. Above all our classes should be enjoyable- we want your child to leave our class with a smile on their face, having had lots and lots of fun. Bee Sporty classes teach children from an early age that physical activity is fun. We believe that a positive attitude towards physical activity will enable your child to go on to develop strong sports specific skills as they get older. About us:

As parents to a very active and energetic toddler, the idea for Bee Sporty came about through our discussions about the need to provide physical stimulation for young children and encourage that active side of our son’s nature in an appropriate environment (as opposed to him just running wild round our living room!) We want to harness that energy and enthusiasm and help to develop the movement skills that will allow him to go on to play sports or pursue other active hobbies when he is older. We feel this is an important step in the development of any young child, and one that, through his background in sports, our head coach and founder Jay was particularly passionate about. Jay has years of experience in the sports industry. Having studied Sports Coaching and Development at college, Jay has worked in the sports development industry for over 10 years and currently works at Basketball Scotland. Jay has experience coaching children in a number of sports and has played and coached basketball at international level. He has a host of coaching qualifications including being a qualified Movement Skills coach. Jay has combined his knowledge of sports coaching with his experience as a dad to design a program that will encourage your child’s movement skills and above all be great fun!

Well that’s a wrap! What an emotional few days at my last classes 😭

It’s been an absolute privilege to coach your wonderful children, and your kind words today and on Monday have reinforced the impact I have had on them. I know that when they all start nursery and school, they will love PE and will be little obstacle course superstars!! Just don’t forget about me when they become global sports superstars 🤣⚽️🏀🏈🎾🏸🥅

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kind gifts, words, and the effort the wee ones went to to write my cards and draw my pictures. I will treasure them as well as the memories we have made 🥰 and I truly hope our paths cross again soon.

For those that missed my announcement in person, this will sadly be the last term of all Bee Sporty classes 🙁

Bee sporty has meant so much to us and we have loved having the opportunity to play a small part in your children’s development. We still very much believe in the principles of Bee Sporty and hope your little ones can find lots of positive experiences through sports and movement. Sadly though the time has come for all of us to focus on other ventures which means that continuing Bee Sporty just isn’t viable for us at this time.

We would like to thank every single one of you who has supported us over the years - your support has always been a huge part of Bee Sporty for us.

Our final class dates will be on Monday 27th and Friday 31st March with an Easter themed get together 🥚🐣🐰

Love, Coach Karla, Coach Hannah and Coach Jay 💕

⚡️Fast & Slow Week ⚡️
At the end of class today we slowed right down to see if we could build towers with our mini cones. Check out the concentration on the wee faces! Good job guys 😊
I know we all like going fast but today I showed you it’s good to go slow sometimes as well!

What a fun class today for coordination week! We used our hockey sticks, we played bat & balloon, we did some great work on our obstacle course! 🏑 🎈 🏓

It was lovely to meet some of the older brothers and sisters as well, even if they do think they’re too cool to play with Buzzbee! 😎 🐝

If you took any pics, feel free to share below!
