Sessions like last night are exactly why being a PGA Professional is so rewarding. 🏌️♂️
I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Vale of Leven Junior Section for the past two seasons, and it’s incredible to see just how far the juniors have come.
Working closely with Junior Convenor Jim Murray, we’ve helped grow the junior section while supporting the lads as they improve, develop their skills and, most importantly, enjoy their golf.
From that first session at the start of last season to where they are now, the progress has been fantastic. Juniors gaining and lowering handicaps, competing in club and team competitions, refining their swings and developing their skills on the course - there is some seriously impressive talent coming through.
Youngest Junior, 6-year-old Tate, watching him last night, I saw some of the most natural golfing talent I’ve come across as a coach. It’s incredibly exciting to see what the future could hold for these young players.
A huge appreciation also goes to the organisers, Junior Convenors, volunteers, parents and fellow PGA Professionals who give their time and energy to supporting junior golf.
Growing the game starts with giving young players the opportunity to learn, compete, improve and, most importantly, fall in love with golf.
That’s what it’s all about. 👏🏌️♂️
