Savehands Goalkeeping Academy
is a professional goalkeeping academy that was established in 2009. At Savehands we aim to make professional goalkeeping
accessible to all ages, abilities and genders. "OUR NUMBER ONE FOCUS IS GOALKEEPING DEVELOPMENT!"

Our coaching team is made up of coaches who have worked at A professional level in
Scotland in both men and women’s football as well as very hard work

ing and passionate coaches who love goalkeeping! Savehands Goalkeeping Academy is led by a fully qualified Head Coach who is currently First Team GK Coach of a SPFL team, whilst also being Lead Goalkeeping Coach of one of the best professional youth programs in the country. Over the last 7 years, our Head
Coach has assisted over 68 youth goalkeepers signing for pro-youth teams with
SIX of these goalkeepers currently involved in for their clubs under 20s teams. Our Head Coach will be assisted by a well qualified and PVG checked coaching team

We at Savehands also take child protection very seriously. In doing so we have our
own fully verified child protection officer within our academy set up! What can Savehands Goalkeeping do for you?

* Our Head Coach is a SFA Goalkeeping Licence Diploma Holder as well as an Uefa B Licence Holder.

*Provide professional goalkeeping training at affordable prices

* Use our contacts within professional football to gain trials for our most promising
goalkeepers

* Provide parents evenings and assessments to make sure your son/daughter is
progressing

* Train on suitable top class facilities with the goalkeepers needs in mind!

* We have a policy of not coaching in 5 aside pods as not goalkeeping game related
(Outwith Club Partnerships)

* Offer academy provides discounts on gloves and protective clothing to help keep the cost of
goalkeeping down

* Work to a strict Technical Curriculum to improve the goalkeepers

* All session are a minimum 60 min long

Goalie Wars is an exciting, fast‑paced competition designed specifically for goalkeepers to showcase their skills in thrilling one‑on‑one battles. This isn’t just about shot-stopping — it’s about speed, intelligence, reactions, and preforming under pressure!

Savehands Goalkeeping invites you to our May Bank Holiday 1 Day Camp on 25th May at Toryglen Football Centre.

Come and spend the day training with SaveHands Goalkeeping as we focus on core goalkeeping fundamentals, developing technique, confidence, and understanding through the Savehands Goalkeeping Pillars.

🧤 EDINBURGH: WE ARE BACK! 🧤

​Two weeks ago, we made our long-awaited return to the capital for the Ross Ballantyne Coaching Day.

​We welcomed 30 young goalkeepers who were a credit to themselves with there hard work and dedication!

​☀️ Morning Session: We focused on the 7-aside keepers. We're we worked on goalkeeping Fundamentals , Positioning, Defending the Goal and 1v1s. We ended the session with a video session watch some of the worlds best goalkeepers and what we were coaching looked at the top level.

🌤️ Afternoon Session: It was the turn of the 9/11-aside goalkeepers again we focused on goalkeeping Fundamentals , Positioning, Defending the Goal and 1v1s in game like scenarios.
