"I was struggling to even get up the stairs."
Three years after injuring her knee, Eileen felt like things were heading in the wrong direction.
Her weight had increased, everyday movements were becoming more difficult, and activities she used to do such as running were no longer an option.
In her own words, she felt "old, fat and unfit."
She knew something had to change, but was a bit worried and nervous as she'd never been in a gym before.
After reaching out and coming in for a chat, Eileen gave our 6 Week Trial a go and joined our PT sessions.
Over the last 9 months, she has...
✅ Gotten stronger
✅ Improved her mobility
✅ Can walk upstairs pain free
✅ Gained confidence in the gym
✅ Found a routine she enjoys
We were able to modify leg exercises to work around her knee injury, focusing on what she could do rather than what she couldn't.
Over the months, her knee became stronger, her mobility improved and she's now in significantly less pain!
It's totally normal to be nervous about exercising with an injury, but exercise is usually the best thing for it as long as it's done safely & corrrectly.
And as with any of our PT clients, exercises can be adapted to match your level of ability.
We'll meet you where you're at and build from there.
Eileen also found the encouragement from other members helpful too, it definitely helped make those initial nerves disappear!
If you've been putting off making a change due to injury or nerves, drop me a message today and we'll have a chat 👍.
