Join us at the next Mellow Up! event with Infant Mental Health Specialist, Robin Balbernie, for a thoughtful and practical day exploring attachment, relationships, and responsive practice.
Robin’s keynote session, “Understanding Attachment: How Early Relationships Shape Us”, will explore how early experiences influence a child’s sense of safety, emotional regulation, and future relationships. The session will also look at reflective functioning and mentalising, attachment patterns in children and adults, and how these can shape parenting and partner relationships.
In the afternoon, we’ll focus on “Responsive, Relationship-Centred Mellow Practice for Supporting Diverse Needs”. Together, we’ll explore adaptable, curiosity-led approaches that help Practitioners build stronger connections, open richer conversations, and respond sensitively to the needs of parents, carers, and young people. Expect practical ideas you can take straight into your Mellow groups and one-to-one work.
🕘 The day includes:
- Refreshments on arrival
- Two keynote sessions with Robin Balbernie
- Lunch and opportunities to connect
- Interactive afternoon practice session
- Time to reflect and learn together
Hosted by Mellow Parenting and welcomed by CEO Raquib Ibrahim, Mellow Up! is a chance for Accredited Practitioners to reconnect with the values at the heart of relationship-based practice while gaining fresh tools and perspectives to support families.
