Ben Wright Online Performance coach, 1-1 in person & owner of Four Pillars Studio No fad diets, no false promises and no cookie cutter programs. A real coach. Ben Wright.

Hey, I’m Ben, Co-owner of Four Pillars Studio, Glasgow

I’m a 1-1 and online coach based in Glasgow who provides coaching services for clients anywhere in the world. I’m a great believer in taking a holistic approach towards understanding the clients needs then building strong relationships with my clients, focusing on trust and commitment to ensure they get the best results possible in the long

term. I make it my primary drive to collect as much information as I can before making any coaching call to action. This is done through building a strong relationship and commitment base with you, the client. Every client I’ve ever worked with will tell you the same thing, I go above and beyond to make sure the journey is comfortable. I go beyond their expectations when it comes to how I approach my business. I follow up everything I do and track everything accordingly. My coaching is in-depth, fun and in turn creates great results. After many quality client results (some To be seen here at client results) both 1-1 and online I’m proud to call myself a coach. A coach for real people who want real results. I’m someone who will educate and guide you through the full journey. I will never make false promises to make a quick buck. I’ll always be there to support your goal and make the right decisions at the right time. The industry is full of false hope, quick fixes and fads that promote one thing … disappointment. As a coach I look to drive a business based of values, commitments and long term results.

Most people think getting in shape is about losing weight, building muscle, or fitting into a smaller pair of jeans.

But the real win is when it becomes part of who you are.

I was speaking to one of my clients, John, and he said something that really stood out.

He no longer sees holidays as a reason to stop looking after himself.

He plans around his training.

He enjoys being active.

He looks forward to moving his body.

And for the first time, his wife has started pointing it out too.

Not because he’s obsessed.

Not because he’s restrictive.

Because looking after himself has become normal.

That’s the difference.

When health becomes part of your identity, you stop constantly starting over.

You stop relying on motivation.

You stop treating every holiday, weekend or busy period as a setback.

You just live your life.

And that’s something John should be incredibly proud of.

If you’re tired of the stop start cycle and want to build something that actually lasts, send me a DM and let’s have a chat about coaching.

The anxiety a lot of men never talk about.

Nobody really prepares you for that part.

As men, we’re taught to provide, protect and keep moving forward. Most of us accept that responsibility without thinking twice about it. We work hard, take care of the people around us and just get on with what needs done.

Then life gets bigger.

You build a career. A relationship. A family. People start relying on you. And somewhere along the way the pressure starts getting louder. Not loud enough that anyone notices. Just loud enough that your brain never really switches off.

You find yourself lying awake thinking about money. Wondering if you’re doing enough. Questioning whether you’re giving enough to your partner, your kids, your work and yourself. Trying to stay one step ahead of problems that haven’t even happened yet.

And I think for a lot of men, that pressure hits harder than expected.

Not because they’re weak. Usually because they care so much that they put massive pressure on themselves to get everything right.

What people don’t really speak about enough is how anxiety often disguises itself as responsibility. You convince yourself you’re planning ahead. Being prepared. Staying in control. But sometimes you’re just carrying the weight of ten imaginary problems all at once.

And sometimes that can feel pretty lonely because nobody around you can actually see it.

They see the man who turns up every day. The man who keeps going. The man who handles his responsibilities. They don’t always see the self doubt, the overthinking or the fear of letting the people he loves down.

I’m definitely not speaking from a place of mastery. I’m learning as I go. Some days feel class and some days feel heavy. That’s probably just part of being human.

But if you’re carrying some of that weight around in your own head right now, you’re not alone.

A lot more men are dealing with the exact same thoughts than you’d ever realise.

Most of them just never say it out loud.

Dude you don’t need another diet.

You need to stop doing the things that are keeping you stuck where you are.

If I was starting from scratch tomorrow, here’s where I’d begin:

1. Fix your environment. Remove any negative s**t you don’t need.

Stop filling the cupboards with food you know you’ll eat when you’re stressed, tired or bored.

2. Cut back on processed food.

You don’t need perfection. Just make most of your meals look like actual food.

3. Stop drinking every weekend.

Most men have no idea how much this one habit is slowing down their progress.

4. Find 3 hours per week to train.

Put it in the diary and stop negotiating with yourself every time it comes around.

5. Build a morning routine. Meditate. (Pitstops during day) helps to down regulate.

Wake up.
Drink water.
Get outside.
Move your body.
Take 10 minutes to think.
Mediate during day 10-15 mins.
That’s it.

Most people are looking for a breakthrough.

What they actually need is a handful of habits repeated often enough to become normal.

Build a few pitstops into your day.

Slow down.

Take stock.

Ask yourself if what you’re doing right now is moving you closer to where you want to be.

If not, change direction.

Don’t forget to save this for later 👋
