What a fantastic day of bowls we’ve had at the club, with some brilliant matches and plenty of drama along the way!

🏆 Over 55s Champion – John McMonagle

🏆 Vice President’s Champion – Murray McLure

🏆 Ward Trophy Winner – Gary Nicholson
One of the games of the day! Gary secured a dramatic 21–20 victory with the very last bowl of the match — and what a fantastic bowl it was to win it! 👏🔥

🏆 CLUB CHAMPION – Andrew Reilly 🏆
After an incredible season and reaching four finals, Andrew finished Finals Day on top by defeating James to become our 2026 Club Champion! 👏

A massive congratulations to all of today’s winners and to every player who reached a final. Some fantastic bowls played throughout the day! 🔵⚪️

🎤🎶 But the day isn’t over yet!

Congratulations to Alistair Middleton, who came out on top against Andy Reilly in this evening’s President’s Final. 👏
Club President Stan Hill had the honour of marking the tie before presenting Ally with the trophy following the match. 🏆
👏 Well done to both players on reaching the final, and a big congratulations to Ally Middleton – our 2026 President’s Trophy winner!

🏆 OUR FIRST WINNER OF FINALS WEEKEND! 🏆

Congratulations to Ramsay Mackie , who becomes our first winner of Finals Weekend after defeating Andy Reilly in a hotly contested Dougie Johnson Trophy Final. 👏

It was a close battle over two sets, with Ramsay taking the first 5–3 before the second finished 5–5, securing the trophy! 🏆

👏 Well done to both players on a great final and congratulations to Ramsay Mackie – 2026 Dougie Johnson Trophy Winner!

We are pleased to invite all members and guests to join us this Saturday for PBC Finals Day.

The afternoon begins with four finals matches. We extend our warmest wishes and best of luck to all players competing for this year's titles.
​7:30 PM | Evening Entertainment

Following the matches, our evening social program commences featuring live karaoke with Wee Cushtee.

Saturday 22nd August was a special day at Partick Bowling Club when our mixed pairs competition was held in memory of Mairi MacGregor late wife of our Honourary President Ian MacGregor. As Mairi would have wished it was a fun and highly enjoyable day with 18 pairs competing.
Winners in a close final were Andrew Reilly Reilly and Sinead Moy and Runners-up were Stuart Sloan and his wife Elaine Sloan .
Losing semi-finalists were Ryan Merrilees and Jenna Po***ck and Iain Forbes and Elaine's mum Elaine McGavin.
Thanks to all who took part and to Ian for sponsoring the day. In his acceptance speech Andrew paid a very fitting tribute
to Mairi who had been a long term member of the club.
