Glasgow Wellington 2-5 Dunblane SC: U21s, O35s & FFIT

A disappointing result today, but the scoreline doesn’t reflect the performance the lads put in.

We went from leading 2-1 to eventually losing 5-2, but there are still lots of positives to take from the game against a good, physical side. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much we could do when 3 of our back 4 had to go off injured in the first half. That meant lots of restructuring to the team and a few of the boys having to play in unfamiliar positions.

But we take it as a team, stick together, and move on to the next one. πŸ’ͺ⚽

A big thank you to our sponsor Slouch Glasgow for having us back after the game. Disappointed with the result, but definitely happy with the food and drinks afterwards! πŸ˜‚πŸ”πŸ» Thanks as well to the Dunblane lads for coming along too, wish them all the best for the season ahead.

Glasgow Wellington 5-1 Craigneuk

Revenge after our last meeting!

A brilliant reaction from the boys as Glasgow Wellington bounced back in style with a 5-1 victory over Craigneuk.

After an off day in our last outing against Craigneuk, the boys were determined to put things right β€” and they certainly did that with a ruthless all-round performance.

Defensively, John Mcilwain put in a fantastic display, helping keep things tight at the back, while Chris Taylor delivered a standout performance and deservedly took home Man of the Match.

Five goals and an absolutely brilliant all-out display from the team. A fantastic response and exactly the kind of performance we wanted after the last meeting.
