The weather 💦 has not been kind to us the last couple of weeks with points night which is a shame this late in the season.

However we have one Monday night game left next week so let's hope the 🌞 shines on us and we can get out for one final night on the green before closing day.

We can now confirm that the starting time will be 6.30pm and all members welcome.

Today saw our Gents section hold our last tournament finals of the season with the Gents Ballotted Triples. Once again the weather was kind to us to allow for a great day of bowls.

Congratulations to Graham Rintoul, Bill Potts and Ian Macleod who ran out convincing winners on the day. Graham adds this to his senior pairs title and for Ian it is a double in the triples events having won the nominated event also.

Commiserations to our runners up Val Pearson, Jim Hughes/Jim Anderson (who each played one match) and Alistair Macleod.

This concludes our Gents programme for the current season however we do still have our Mixed crown green bowling event to come next Sunday the 20th, more info to come on that during the week.

APPRECIATION POST

We would just like to take a moment to say well done to our Senior Gents Section on finishing 4th in the local triples league. One point here in there was all the separated us from 3rd place and even higher.

Congratulations to Condorrat Bowling Club on finishing 1st in the league.

This concludes a very successful season for our senior Section which also saw us win the Antonine Trophy.

Well done to all involved.

Today saw us host the final of our annual KMVC Rink Trophy 🏆.

Congratulations to our winners Kenny Mcculloch, Ian Mcleod, David Wilson and Alastair Hall who after a very close start, triumphed after some good middle ends in the 15 end contest🏆.

Commiserations to runners up, Alastair Macleod, Euan Conway, Alan Cross and Jim Hughes.

It is with great sadness that we write to let you know that former member and Past President, Eamonn Boyle, passed away earlier this week.

Eamonn who was club president in 1990 was a valued part of Kirkintilloch Bowling Clubs history, and our thoughts are very much with his family and friends at this difficult time.

We will notify members of the funeral arrangements once received.
