My journey to yoga had a few false starts over the years I was attending a class that was too advanced or not the right teacher for me. After deciding to enter my first ultramarathon after many years of marathon running it was time to get all the help I could, a return to yoga was called. This time I was hooked the right teacher teaching variations of poses therefore you can adapt and grow. I late
r realised I left every class feeling uplifted, energised, stronger, stretched or relaxed and those benefits found their way into my everyday life it was no longer just about complimenting sports. After 2 years of regular practice and a change in career I decided to sign up for teacher training . I may have been the lesser experienced or the less flexible in the class but I knew I had teaching skills and personal injury experience to draw on. After a car crash & broken bones in my neck and spinal problems it took me a year of practice to do Up Dog pose with ease, one that many may take for granted. I can help you on your yoga journey with my nursing background I have a great understanding of the body . I take my yoga teaching seriously with well thought out plans and a not one size fits all approach. I don't take myself seriously & have a sense of humour. Expect lots of alignment tips to aid your unique body, with a functional approach to movement, heck you might even have fun. What is the point in having a great practice or fabulous aesthetics if it doesn't compliment your life, health, sporting interests or have some longevity .
