I have loved teaching every week, learning more and more all the time from others. I am so lucky to have found such a lovely studio that has light streaming in, rain or shine, and to have kind and open students that come back to share their practice with me.

HOWEVER, as much as I’d love to continue, there’s only so much teaching I can do while growing a wee human and working another job. Something’s gotta give, as they say.

So, I’ve decided to teach until the end of May. Three glorious weeks left 🫶

After that, the lovely will be taking over the slot and teaching at the same place and same time for the foreseeable.

So, come catch me or Nic on a Thursday 5:45-6:45pm ☀️🧘‍♀️💛

✨ My theme this month is new beginnings, which is particularly relevant for me as I enter a new decade (hello 30s) but also as spring finally feels like it has sprung in my garden 🌸

This week we were practicing crow pose or Bakasana in class. It’s one of my favourite poses. It’s an arm balance that takes concentration, arm, shoulder and wrist strength, hip openness, balance and weight placement awareness, and confidence to go for it BUT it can also be easier than you think if you let yourself go. Maybe that’s a lesson for life, it is hard but can be easier if you can find your flow.

I took some pics of the pose and lots of options to try and help you feel secure giving it a go. A bolster in front of your face (this was defo useful last night!), a block under heels, lifting one foot off at a time, changing knee position and generally testing out using your arms as a wee shelf for your legs.
