MASSIVE WELL DONE to the young people from North United Communities tonight, who smashed a double dip and sauna session.

The fear they felt beforehand manifested in lots of expressive swear words, top of the range banter, and some general roasting of the staff 😂

However, they soon caught the cold water bug and begged for that double dip. Well done team - you absolutely crushed it ✨️🙏

And last but not least, our senior wellbeing group. Nobody breaks the rules quite like this lot!!!! Let's just say they really know how to have a good time, and 4 years later, they are still as naughty as ever!!!!

Sadly, we have lost many of our members over the years, but they have indeed left a lasting legacy in their community, and in our hearts 💛✨️🙏

This is the one we wish we had more room for in the reel - our women's work 💖

5 years ago, we started delivering women's recovery courses, and we did not expect that it would become the heartbeat of our work.

These ladies have been pushed beyond their comfort zones soooooo much over the years. We have had them dancing, dipping, screaming, raging, playing, creating, singing, running, building, jumping, sqauting, crying, laughing, and soooo much more.

You see the body and mind only gets stronger when we strategically apply stress to it, and learn how to harness that stress to build, instead of break.

It has been an absolute joy and privilege to walk alongside so many beautiful women over the years. You have been inspiring, tenacious and a right good laugh 🙏✨️💛

When we first moved into the recovery sphere 6 years ago, we recognised that there was a serious lack of dance and movement opportunities available. So we made some!

We started delivering Zumba classes in the recovery communities, before creating our own somatic dance programme, which fused the art of dance with recovery principles.

We then trained 29 women in recovery to be able to deliver these sessions in their own recovery communities, while also continuing to deliver them at various events across Scotland.

We also started facilitating an annual recovery Dance Battle, which has just been an absolute hoot.

Many of our coaches are now continuing to utilise dance in a meaningful way, and we love watching them help others pick up this tool.

Dance is indeed an ancient and wildly effective recovery tool ✨️🙏
