It is a completely unique concept that combines elements of 5-aside out-door football with playing FIFA at home with yo
ur mates in the comfort of your front room. It's run in a similar way to that of a 5-aside league and the games even take place on mini floodlit astro-turf ‘pitches'! :), except here you are seated on comfy leather chairs playing out the match on big 80” HD screens, the combined atmosphere of the crowd on the game and your mates cheering behind you, and the bar close at hand to keep you topped up with beer. instead of that half blind grumpy old bald geezer stood on the touchline you get at 5-aside, here you have an attractive young female referee in charge ;)
Sound like fun? We are currently testing an 8 single player league run over four weeks and we have also just added two 8 player knock-out tournaments to the schedule for spectators to participate in. Providing we get enough support, we can then expand Out Played to accommodate additional leagues, bigger tournaments, better equipment etc. which also means bigger and better prizes to play for! So why not come on down, grab yourself a beer, get involved in the action and help us to create something BIG for all you FIFA fans to enjoy...
Where and when is it? Blues Rock Cafe, Gillingham Football Club, Gillingham, Kent. How much does it cost and what can I win? League membership - £20 upfront to register a team for a season and then £5 per week sub (payable either upfront or on the night)
Tournaments - £3 per team (payable on the night)
Current prize structure:
League: 1st place - £80
2nd place - £40
3rd place - £20
Based on a single player four week league cycle, each player completing 4 fixtures per night (5 minute halves). Tournaments:
1st place - 1200 Microsoft points
2nd place - Beer! Box of
What console is it played on? Exclusively Xbox 360. League rules & team selection:
Each player must choose 1 main team and a secondary team from the list of 4.5 – 5 star rated teams provided (club teams only). The main team can be either a 4.5 or 5 star team but the secondary team can be no higher than a 4.5 star rated team. Secondary teams are only selected when a player is playing an away fixture and their team is the same as the home players team. We think that this is the best way to avoid team clashes and it also gives the home team a slight advantage if their main team is 5 star rated. Spectator info:
If you can’t or don’t play FIFA but either enjoy watching, want to come and support someone you know who is playing, or simply just want to drop in for a drink and check out something new, then you are more than welcome! During our trial period spectators can sign-in for free so come along and make the most of it whilst you can ;)
