Big well done Girls! Super Proud! 🐍
7th June – Essex Open Tournament
Our U10 Kobras took part in their first-ever tournament at the Essex Open. Pearl captained the team, while Emily was our impact player for the day.
The girls went into the competition with a mixture of excitement and nerves. Unfortunately, they narrowly lost their first two games by just one or two goals. However, they didn’t let their heads drop. They maintained their energy, determination, and resilience, which led to an incredible run of five consecutive wins.
There were outstanding interceptions from Caitlyn, Brooke, and Emily, while Kara delivered excellent one-on-one defensive pressure. Vi demonstrated great positional play and fed some fantastic balls into the circle. Pearl was a constant source of energy across the court, contributing brilliantly in both attack and defence.
Our incredible shooters Emma & Imogen worked tirelessly in the circle, creating space and converting opportunities to score an impressive total of 45 goals throughout the tournament.
The team displayed unbelievable spirit, friendship, teamwork, and determination from start to finish.
In their very first tournament, the girls achieved an incredible 4th place finish out of 10 teams, a fantastic accomplishment and a reflection of their hard work, resilience, and team spirit throughout the day.
The standard of play was outstanding, and the girls should be extremely proud of everything they achieved. We certainly are!
A huge thank you to our umpire, Teresa, for giving up her time to support us, and to all the parents who make organising and attending these events so easy.
Special shout-outs also go to Coach Peter and Coach Chloe for being the best, and to our scorer, Isabelle, for all her hard work throughout the day.
Well done, Kobras!🐍
