Dorset Showground Equestrians events venue owned, managed & run by the Trim family. Grass arenas also used during the Summer.

Floodlight surface and warm up and large grass derby ring, pavilion providing lunches and snacks and large permanent show stables. An equestrian venue holding affiliated and unaffiliated Showjumping, Unaffiliated Dressage, Arena Eventing, Clinics etc all year on all weather floodlit arena.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE – EQUINE INFLUENZA PROTOCOLS ⚠️

Due to the current outbreak of Equine Influenza across the UK, we are implementing additional biosecurity measures for ALL competitors attending our events, in line with current guidance from British Showjumping, British Dressage and the Equine Infectious Disease Action Group.

🐴 BRITISH SHOWJUMPING & BRITISH DRESSAGE COMPETITORS

ALL BS and BD competitors MUST report to the secretary’s office with their horse’s passport BEFORE UNLOADING.

✔ Passports will be checked to ensure vaccinations are fully compliant with current BS/BD rules.
❌ Horses without a passport, or with incomplete/lapsed vaccinations, will NOT be permitted to unload or compete.

Please ensure you allow extra time on arrival for these checks to take place.

🐴 UNAFFILIATED COMPETITORS (at the moment, we may change this according to the situation so please stay aware)!

We will also be carrying out random passport and vaccination checks at unaffiliated events, so please ensure your horse’s passport is with you and vaccinations are up to date.

By attending our venue, competitors confirm that:

• the horse is compliant with current vaccination requirements
• the horse has not shown signs of respiratory illness within the previous 14 days
• the horse has not been in contact with suspected or confirmed Equine Influenza cases within the previous 14 days

Any horse showing signs of illness, including coughing, nasal discharge, raised temperature, lethargy or swollen glands, must not attend the venue.

We also ask all competitors to follow sensible biosecurity measures:

• do not share water buckets or equipment
• avoid nose-to-nose contact between horses
• maintain good hygiene around tack, equipment and vehicles
• minimise time spent on site where possible

These measures are being introduced to help protect the health and welfare of all horses and to ensure competitions can continue safely.

💥DRESSAGE COMPETITION 💥

Join us for a fantastic day of dressage this Sunday 17th May at Dorset Showground! 🐴

There are two sections:

✨ Unaffiliated Dressage: https://www.myridinglife.com/eventdetails.aspx?id=526620
Classes from Intro to Elementary, plus a PYO class.
This is also a Trailblazers Second Round Qualifier.

✨ British Dressage Quest: https://www.myridinglife.com/eventdetails.aspx?id=546511
Classes from Intro to Novice across both My Quest and Team Quest.

The Unaffiliated classes will get underway from 10am, followed by the Quest classes.

👉ENTRIES CLOSE AT 4pm on FRIDAY! Please get your entries in before this time as it is hard to add late entries without affecting others times.

💥EXCITING NEWS💥

Following the huge success of our Winter Arena Eventing Series, we’re excited to announce two Summer Arena Eventing dates at Dorset Showground! ☀️🐎

We are running on:

📅 Sunday 12th July: https://www.myridinglife.com/eventdetails.aspx?id=559433
📅 Sunday 16th August: https://www.myridinglife.com/eventdetails.aspx?id=559434

We have classes from 60-110cm, with a joker at the end at full height.

Weather permitting, we’ll be running show jumping on a surface, followed by the cross-country phase on grass – the perfect summer combination!

It promises to be two fantastic days of jumping, and we can’t wait to see you there.
