🌟 Another Fantastic Young Leaders Cohort at Balfour Juniors! 🌟
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of working with an incredible group of Year 5 students at Balfour Juniors—and what a journey it’s been!
On Thursday 14th May, 20 brilliant young people successfully passed their Playground Leaders Training, and are now ready to lead fun, engaging activities for younger pupils during break and lunchtime 🙌
This programme is all about empowering students to:
✅ Build confidence and leadership skills
✅ Encourage inclusive play for all
✅ Create a more active, positive playground environment
✅ Support younger children through structured, fun activities
And they absolutely smashed it! 💥
One of the highlights has to be the creative Playground Leader bib designs 🎨 The students took real pride in personalising their bibs with names, numbers, and messages like “Here to Help”—a brilliant reflection of their enthusiasm and ownership of the role. They look the part and are ready to lead from the front!
We can’t wait to see the impact these young leaders have on their playground—bringing energy, positivity, and teamwork to every break and lunchtime 👏
