Ford’s hot hatch hero. Powered by a 1.8L Zetec 16-valve producing around 130 hp, the XR2i mixed sharp handling with everyday usability. It became one of the defining fast Fords of the ’90s and a favourite for modifying.
🇬🇧 Vauxhall Nova GSi
The lightweight assassin. A 1.6L 16-valve producing 100 hp might not sound like much today, but in a car weighing under 900 kg it was more than enough to upset bigger machinery. Simple, agile, and one of Britain’s most loved hot hatches.
The Fiesta was stable, refined, and confidence inspiring. 🔥
The Nova was lighter, cheekier, and always one modification away from causing trouble. 😅
One had the blue oval.
One had the griffin.
Both had half the neighbourhood convinced they were the quickest thing on four wheels.
