Gildersome Spurs Jfc have hosted Leeds United on street lane and with wet weather support from Gildersome Sports Club this week. 👏🏼👏🏼

Between 20 and 30 kids have loved it every day!

🏏🏆 THIS SUNDAY IS CUP FINAL DAY AT GILDERSOME SPORTS CLUB! 🏆🏏

Gildersome Farnley Hill CC take on Leeds Sikh CC in the 2026 Dales Council League Cawthorne Cup Final!

What makes it even more special is that a few months ago Gildersome Farnley Hill CC were selected to host this year's final – a fantastic achievement in itself. But the story got even better... our own team has battled their way through the competition and earned their place in the final on home turf! 👏💚💛

Standing in their way are Leeds Sikh CC, a strong side competing a division above, so it promises to be a brilliant contest between two excellent teams.

🕛 Club open from 12:00pm

🏏 First ball: 1:30pm (40 overs per innings)

There'll be plenty going on throughout the day:

Gildersome, it’s time to come together for a brilliant community day filled with bargains, recycling, fundraising, and local pride. Whether you’re clearing out your cupboards, supporting a cause, this event is for you.

🛍️ For Residents in and around Gildersome: (if outside of Gildersome we do have community areas to set up pleased register to apply for a table top)

Got unwanted items taking up space? Turn them into cash while giving them a new home. It’s the perfect chance to recycle, resell, and be part of a fun village wide trail that brings neighbours together.

💚 Charities & Non‑Profit Organisations:

We’d love to have you join us. Set up a stall, raise funds, spread awareness, and connect with the community. You’re warmly welcomed and encouraged to take part.

🏪 Local Businesses:

You are invited to get involved, However, we are still seeking the traders permit at this event , so please fill in your details if you’re interested and we’ll be in touch to discuss further.

***WE NOW HAVE PERMISSION FOR BUSINESSES (updated June 27th)

📍 It’s happening all across Gildersome…. follow the trail, meet new people, and enjoy a day full of community spirit. The map will be created ONLINE once we have your registrations in.

You are welcome to use your own gazebos for those where possible, or join with others for cover, and we do have limited space inside the meeting hall. But hopefully the weather will be kind ☀️

Gildersome Spurs Jfc U16 Girls 26/27 are looking for a few new players to join their strong, dedicated squad in a Saturday league, division One in

They are looking at sustaining football for girls through U16, U18 into open age with a group of dedicated players, coaches and a club that cares.

Join their training sessions on monday evenings 7pm-8pm from 6th July.
