First game of the season

Felling Magpies U16 Girls 3 - 3 Stocksfield

A really strong performance from the girls yesterday, and it’s clear this is going to be a very competitive league!

A great match from start to finish, and I think we just about edged it performance-wise. I honestly couldn’t fault any of the girls yesterday every single one dug deep, worked hard and battled for each other.

Niamh 🏆 - Your listening and learning of how we want to play has been first class. Your ability to adapt into different roles was fantastic, and you very nearly got us the winner! A brilliant performance.

Layla 🏆 - She caused the full-back problems all game and was a constant threat that the opposition struggled to handle!

Due to me being away and lower numbers as I haven’t had a chance to ask everyone, I will start the LMS next weekend. It will also give everyone a chance to see how teams line up in week 1.
The game will start on Friday 28th August with the following fixtures. £10 entry and you pick a different premier league team to win each week. The longest survivor takes the pot, but there can be only 1. If 2 or more players are at the end and neither of their teams will it’s a rollover and everyone pays another £10 and they are back in.

Pre-Season Friendly
Felling Magpies U16 Girls vs Washington Athletic Magpies

A fantastic first outing of pre-season with some excellent football, great attitudes and plenty of positives to build on.

The girls making their Felling debuts Sutty, Niamh and Amelia settled in brilliantly. A special mention to Amelia, who swapped defence for striker, scored a superb hat-trick on her debut and deservedly took Girl of the Game.

A big thank you to Aimee, Maisie and Hollie for stepping into goal while we manage injuries.

Credit to Washington Athletic for a competitive game and we would like to wish you all the best for the coming season. We hope the girls a speedy recovery who had to come off through injury.

As we look forward to the start of the 26/27 season, registering players from Wednesday 1st July. We also look back on the 25/26 season which was a bit of a mixed bag. The league didn’t quite live up to expectations this season for various reasons, but then we had the highlight of Holland and finishing 3rd out of 20 teams around Europe and it gave us a massive boost going into the additional cup competition where we became finalists once again. Sadly at the end of every season people decide to move on or do something different. This season we say good bye to Amber, Megan and Ian. We wish you all the best for the future and have shared some fantastic memories together. 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Sorry this has taken a while to announce but it has been a busy time the last few weeks.

I would like to say a massive thanks to everyone that participated in this year’s charity matches. We managed to raise £760 at the event and the money will be split evenly between the 2 charities. It was great to see players from multiple clubs coming together for a day of fun and football. A special thanks to Gary Dickson Sports Photography for some fantastic photos.

Well done to our £1k winner Andrew Wood, he is certainly starting his weekend well.

I would like to thank everyone who entered and helped to support the purchase of the Felling Magpies FC VEO camera. If anyone is interested I think I will be doing this again in November, so someone can win £1k before Christmas.
