WOW. What a day!
Today we hosted a Goalkeeper Wars event for 84 goalkeepers — and we couldn’t be prouder of how the day turned out.
We had goalkeepers travel from Leicestershire, West Yorkshire, Manchester, Cumbria and Scotland to be part of the event.
The feedback we’ve received has made every sleepless night, every bit of stress and every moment of worry completely worth it.
A huge thank you to Northumberland FA for their hospitality and for helping us create such a fantastic environment.
Thank you to all of our referees, who were amazing and kept the day running smoothly.
Thank you to the parents and spectators who supported not only their own child, but the other goalkeepers too. That support and encouragement truly makes the event what it is!
And finally, a huge thank you to every single goalkeeper who took part.
Your effort, attitude, competitiveness and, most importantly, the respect you showed towards each other was incredible.
This is why we love Goalkeeper Wars.
Yes, it’s competitive.
Yes, there are winners and losers.
But what makes it special is seeing goalkeepers make friends through competition — celebrating each other, supporting each other and even consoling each other when things don’t go their way.
That’s what Goalkeeper Wars is all about.
A community built through competition.
To be able to create an environment where young goalkeepers can compete, have fun, build friendships and create memories is something we’re incredibly proud to facilitate.
And this is only the beginning…
