🚨 ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS 🚨

After 16 incredible years, MTK Newcastle (formerly Badboy Training Centre) will be closing its doors.

We would like to thank every member, coach, competitor, staff member, and supporter, past and present, who has been part of the journey. Your loyalty, hard work, and commitment have helped shape the gym into what it became.

Over the last 16 years, we have proudly supported everyone from complete beginners taking their first steps into combat sports, through to elite athletes competing at the highest level.

While this chapter is coming to an end, a new one is about to begin.

This page will remain active and will soon be rebranded as the North East Fight Academy (NEFA). We will be announcing details of the new facility, opening dates, membership information, classes, and coaching team in the coming weeks. The new academy will operate under new ownership and management, and we are excited for what lies ahead.

CURRENT MEMBERS – Please Read

It is the responsibility of all current members to cancel any active direct debits associated with their membership.

Please note that no refunds will be issued for payments taken after closure where direct debits have not been cancelled.

Saturday 27th June will be the final day of training at MTK Newcastle.

MEMBERSHIP NOTICE 🚨

This is a polite reminder that all overdue memberships are to be paid asap. People will be getting their membership/class bookings checked upon entry to the gym to ensure they have paid their mat fees.

Your first session at MTK is always free, but if you wish to become a member and are unsure how to navigate the Glofox app, a member of staff at the desk will be more than happy to help you!

TIMETABLE UPDATES ⏰

Attention members, starting IMMEDIATELY we will be implementing an updated timetable with some new class times on for adults and some space for new starters in our junior development program also, make sure to check for any updates and familiarise yourself with any changes ahead of attending your regular sessions.

A key change you’ll notice is the timing of our Monday sessions, starting the boxing class at 18:30 and running for 90 minutes. This allows you to improve your fundamentals in class times and have more time in the session to apply those skills in supervised rounds, an essential part in development for those who want to eventually compete! As always, our classes will all be tailored at all levels; catering to your needs regardless of experience or ability level.

If you have any questions, our coaches are always on hand to help out and guide you in the right direction. And don’t forget, your first class is completely FREE, so come try us out and see for yourself!

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP NOTICE ⚠️‼️⚠️

Far too many people are allowing memberships to bounce when direct debits are due, leading to us having to chase these payments when you arrive at the gym.

Our £60 DD membership offers full gym access on the basis of a monthly payment to collected on the same date of each month! Single payments for the same membership is £70!!

The same names pop up regularly when their payment date comes around. The DD £60 is a discounted rate on the premise of a consistent monthly payment. NOT PICKING AND CHOOSING WHEN TO SQUARE YOUR MEMBERSHIP!!

Moving forward members whose direct debits fail to collect, or those who cancel their DD without notifying the gym have THREE STRIKES! After three strikes you lose the privilege of a discounted membership, leaving the only option of £70 single payment or £10 per class ‼️

To remind people, memberships can be cancelled at anytime, however the gym requires 30 DAY NOTICE of any cancellations clearly stated in our terms and conditions when you create an account on GloFox. Failing to do so, upon return you will be charged the £60 you missed PLUS the £60 for the renewed membership!

Members allowing DDs to bounce will be put on a notice board in the gym to keep staff notified. 3 STRIKES WILL LEAD TO SINGLE PAYMENTS ONLY if you wish to continue using the gym and benefiting from our great community!

Huge congratulations to for defending his title on the last show against a durable opponent, putting a stamp on his time as a full time boxer before transitioning over to MMA!

Joe is making his amateur MMA debut on next Saturday as he continues to test himself against well trained opposition. Tickets will be with Joe if anyone from the gym is looking to support 👊🏻
