Bowes lake.
With Woodlands hosting a round of the fish north qualifier Stephen Kean decided not to play with the big boys and came pinching pensions and pip payments instead! 😜
Drawing peg 5 he had a steady match with a hectic last hour on his strangled elastic shallow method for 147lb 4oz to take the win.
2nd and proving he doesnt just talk a good match was resident shop chair warmer Mark Smith!!
But for a few lost fish the victory would have gone his way. Fishing pellet waggler and method he ended with 130lb 6oz.
3rd underground anglings L Clewes pellet waggler and methoded (?) His way to 128lb 7oz from peg 14.
The results might have been a little different had Richard Bedder not had a serious senior (well he did go to school with methuselah) moment and put 75lb in one net, thus losing the entire net!! (Carp net limit is 50lb!)
Wednesday open.
Lookout lake
Up and down air pressure, torrential rain, blazing sunshine,thunderstorms made the carp ridiculously moody for this one.
In a good week for the staff, Scott Weston went one better than his sidekick on Sunday and managed to win from peg 3 with 88lb 9oz on pellet waggler and feeder, he was left crying over 13 lost carp though that would have given him the peg daddy on peg 3. 😭
Alan Thompson on peg 5 pushed Scott all the way to the end but fell a couple of carp short, again losing a few, to finish 2nd with 72lb.
Darren Swan was best weight from the long bank with 44lb 14oz mostly on the feeder.
To those that say all you have to do is draw peg1, its not that simple!! 😉
