Darren Swan does it again!!!

Not content with his first ton and first match win, hes repeated and added weight!! Taking the peg 1 peg daddy slot from John Nelson in the process!!

Darren method feedered his way to 133lb 2oz.

2nd was the ever reliable old warrior Keith Splodger Brown from peg 3 with 66lb 5oz

3rd was Alan McGuire with 37lb 15oz from peg 5.

Sunday open Bowes lake.

This is Ethan Bradley.
Ethan has a bucket on his head to hide his shame.
Ethan drew peg 40 and marched into the shop and announced very loudly,
"You might as well give me the money now! I've won it already!!"

Silly Ethan!! 🤣

He hadn't reckoned on the legend that is Keith Splodger Brown!! He doesn't wear a cape but our aging super hero banjo feedered his way to over 200lb (but knocked back) where silly Ethan could only manage a measly 167lb.
He had more egg on his face than if he'd been slapped by a dozen omelettes!!

The twenties bank were hampered by strong winds but still managed good weights to take 3rd and 4th.

Well done to Ollie Turner in his first match here, managing to more than double two of our regular match anglers.

Wednesday open match Lookout lake.

Warm day but squally showers and strong wind hampered presentation.

Scott has been bridesmaid for a good while but now he's best man after winning the last two Wednesday opens.
He rode his luck though after a good number of lost fish could have been costly.
Peg 20 winning 2 of the last 3 opens.
Can he make it a hattrick this Wednesday?
(Highly unlikely, he's not that good!!)

This year we're running a little contest alongside the open matches and Splodgers summer league called PEG DADDY!!

Top weight recorded off each peg used regularly in opens and summer league are logged and the angler with the most top weights will win a prize on the last match of the summer league.
Current leader is Keith Splodger Brown with 4 pegs.
Still some low weight ones to be improved on yet.

Splodgers summer league Sunday Lookout lake.

Keith Splodger Brown hopped and skipped his way to peg 3 which had the added bonus of being the golden peg.
He made no mistakes either, catching well on his mid way bomb line to beat what are considered the better pegs either side.
John Dryden was on dubious peg 25, which had produced well for Mark from the shop the day before (I know right? He can actually fish!! Who knew?! 😜) after a slow start he had a run of carp to claim second place.
Hot on his heels though were Alan McGuire on peg 5 and John Foster on 15.

Firstly, for anyone going past peg 24, please be careful after Keith Splodger Brown unwittingly drew it today, it's littered with teddy's and dummys he threw out of his pram on drawing this fishless no chance peg!!
He's developed a successful new method today!!
Draw a peg, moan, complain, tut, sigh, tell anyone who'll listen you probably won't even go to it and you'll be home by dinner time. Then, go to your peg and find its pretty solid and weigh very close to a ton!!! 🤣😂
