The Ladies Cally Cup was played on a wet and wild day.
The course was in great condition our thanks to Greig and the Volunteers.
Thanks also to all the ladies who provided lots of lovely catering.

The winner was Linda McCulloch with 39pts she also won the best Gatehouse player
and received the Murray Usher Trophy.

🏆 Cally Cup 🏆

Well done to Castle Douglas Golf Club member Joseph Kelly on winning the 2026 Cally Cup. An excellent 63 secured Joseph the trophy, pipping members Clive Roscoe and David Barclay on BIH, on a fiery course that made for a tough test of golf.

The scratch winner was another member, Graham McMillan, with a 71.

Massive thanks, as always, go to Greig, Ian and all the volunteers, who once again had the course looking immaculate. A few tricky pin positions also added to the challenge.

Thanks as well to the volunteers who ensured the competition’s smooth running, and to the Ladies’ Section for providing food throughout the day.

Hopefully, we’ll see everyone back on Saturday, 25 July, for the last Men’s Open, the Fleet Valley 4BBB.

Remember its £10 cash for those who are playing, theres a prizegiving in the Bank of Fleet at 6.30 and to bring along a few quid to get a roll, cake or can of juice off the Gatehouse ladies who are providing catering.
