An individual post for the lads from Pyramid 🫡
First up, we had Marc Quin. This was Marc's first time competing, and he was tested from the bell by a game opponent who put him in a few different scenarios early in the fight. Marc stayed calm, dug deep and got his hand raised... the first of many! 👏
Up next was Sam Mitchell. Sam has been quite busy on the scene recently, but it just wasn't to be for him on Saturday. I know Sam has more to give — it's just a small bump in the road. He still showed that he has the dog in him right until the final bell.
Next was one of our busiest fighters, and possibly someone who has had the most fights under Team Pyramid — Josh McClelland. Someone who has seen it all in this scene in a short period of time. Josh had a great camp and put in the work, but just couldn't get going under the resilient pressure of his opponent. He was still in it until the final bell and put on a five-round war. Definitely a Fight of the Night contender! 👏
Last up was the poser himself, Rhys Shaw 😂 Someone who started with me with absolutely zero experience in combat sports. He has set out to do exactly what he said he wanted to do from the start... five fights, five victories and a shiny belt or two! 🏆
He secured a dominant victory against a tough, game opponent. I truly believe Rhys has more to give, but time will tell if he decides to go again 👀
Results aren't what I'm after from the team. It's about how they carry themselves in victory or defeat while representing potentially the smallest team on the scene.
A lot of heart and class was shown on the night!
Bunch of gents 👏🤝
