Dear Club members and Tennis Community of Galashiels

Could I urge that you put pen to paper and contact your local councillor and explain why you feel an indoor tennis venue is much needed here in the Borders. Below is a link to the contact details of the people we now need to blanket with a strong but sensible campaign to ensure they know how we feel about tennis in the Borders. We need to demonstrate a wide spectrum of opinions on this subject as it will show we are united in our campaign for an indoor hall and that the tennis community is a significant voice in sport. I ask if every club can quickly discuss and have as many members send an email to their councillor and copy in myself, David Parker and Sandy Aitchison who will have pivotal roles in making decisions on the project. I ask you to keep the emails positive and try to show what a difference it would make for you and the club. I will of course along with others make sure they know what difference it would make to the programmes and competition structure and our campaign for parity with the rest of Scotland. This is about the Borders obtaining a Regional training centre that will serve the whole of the Borders not just Galashiels.

Just a reminder that the next block of Tennis at the club starts on the 17th March and runs till the 5th of May.

Parents evening is also on the 17th at the Pavilion staring at 6pm. We invite all parents to come along.
