It’s fascinating really. When applied correctly, it works. Every time.
It would be naive to say we don’t get some people come and go. And that’s the whole point.
There are some things that are sacrificed on the road to becoming the most functionally efficient version of you.
The broadest spectrum of strong, fit, fast and powerful.
You can train in ways which skew you towards one realm of these areas. And they’re great. All intentional movement is great.
If you’re a bodybuilder it’s unlikely you’ll be as fast as you could be.
If you’re a yoga or Pilates person it’s unlikely you’ll be the most powerful you can be.
If you’re a general gym goer with no direction it’s unlikely you’ll be the fittest you can be.
If you’re a runner it’s unlikely you’ll be the strongest you can be.
You get the point.
Whatever gets you cooking consistently is what you should do. Every time. That’s the most important bit.
