Competitive football returns to the area! For the first time since 2019, where we host Portree in the first fixture of this new format for the Clan Donald Cup before travelling away to Lochalsh next week.

There’s a real buzz about the team to finally get a home game and test ourselves against another tough outfit in Portree, a look back at our previous encounter was a 3-3 draw up in Portree back in 2019, we are sure it’ll be another exciting game.

it’ll also be our first game back in Aultbea in 8 years, lots of work has gone on in the background to get the pitch up and running again and we look forward to getting back out on it.

We hope you can join us and support the team in a home fixture again, you’ve all done so well travelling with the team in our first 3 away fixtures. we will need as many of you as we can on Saturday.

We are running an FPL league this year to raise money for the team, it’s £20 entry, half the money raised will go to the winner of the league and half will go to the club. The more people who enter the more money up for grabs!

The (sort of) Over-40s Harris team that took on Gairloch/Aultbea United Football Club in Ullapool yesterday.

A memorial game is played every year for Martin Blackley from Aultbea who passed away in 2002 at the age of just 26, and we were honoured to be asked this year to provide the opposition.

Thanks to our hosts for the invite and for the fantastic pre-match and post-match hospitality at the Ullapool golf course Club.

Harris took the lead in the first half but were unaccustomed to the hot conditions and eventually fell to a 3-1 defeat.

But now we have a taste for it (we do???), we’ll be looking to arrange a few more fixtures on the island later this year against local opposition...

Scored early on to make it 1-0 from a corner by Eoin Cu***ng, applied pressure well for the next 10-15 mins but after that conceded 4 avoidable goals before half time. Second half a lot better, got the ball down and played some good football, David Macgregor had a goal ruled out for offside, Corey Maclennan hit the bar from a free kick, had a couple other half chances but just couldn’t take them, another good experience for our young team and they never let their head drop once in the 90 minutes.

Our Player of the Match today was Reuben Goldby who got stuck into everything in midfield and ran every inch of the park, well done Reuben.
