Today is International Day of Charity.

We’re proud to support Andy’s Man Club, our senior charity, and the work they do to give men a safe space to talk, connect and support one another.

At Gainsborough RUFC, community is at the heart of what we do, so supporting an organisation that encourages men to open up and have those conversations is something we’re really proud of👌🏻

Last weekend, Gainsborough and Scunthorpe came together once again for the annual Spud Cup—a special day of rugby, friendship and community held in memory of our much‑loved teammate, Spud. 🖤💛💚

Our Mixed XV produced a brilliant performance, securing a 42–10 victory. A huge thank you to Scunthorpe, everyone who pulled on a shirt, and all the supporters, families and volunteers who made the day so special.

Over the years, both clubs have sadly lost teammates who struggled in silence. Their memory reminds us, that's why we proudly support Andy’s Man Club and why we encourage every player, volunteer and supporter to talk, to reach out, and to look after one another.

Rugby is a team game — on and off the pitch. If you ever feel lost or alone, there is always someone there. Reach out, and you’d have a whole club at your front door. It’s OK to Talk. 🏉

We are just ignoring the weather at this point and having fun! 🖤💛

We are ready to get going! The stall holders are on the way to the pitch! We have G Tow dance crew dancing at 14:20!

We have walking rugby throughout if you want to give it a go!

Then inside we have gone out sorted some fun activities! Come on down, enjoy a drink watch some rugby and support some local businesses!

Then post match we have some live music!

KO now 15:00 (thank you to our top quality socials team for fixing the poster! 😅). The weather’s tried to dampen the day, not our spirits.
Tomorrow’s Spud Cup & Family Fun Day is still very much on, just with a slightly wetter backdrop.We’ve added live music to keep the atmosphere buzzing, and we still have stall holders joining us. Plus, the marquee is fully stocked with crafting, colouring, and even dot‑to‑dot for the front row.Grab a b**r, grab your mates, and come enjoy a proper community day.🖤💛
