I started Pole Dance classes a few weeks before my 30th Birthday in 2007 with no dance or fitness background. Unlike any other form of exercise I'd tried, Pole fitness was fun. I mean, who wouldn't like to exercis

e in a way where you feel like you're not exercising at all? Roughly 6 years after starting to Pole Dance, I qualified to teach it, and began my own studio. I wanted (and still want) to share the sense of strength and empowerment that pole brings. The Pole dancing community is a very friendly and accepting environment, there are people of all ages, gender identifiers, shapes and sizes.

A massive well done to Adele and Hannah for their incredible performances at the "In The Spotlight" pole final yesterday! While they didn't take home a trophy, they are absolute winners in our eyes. Getting up on that stage takes immense courage and hard work—we are so proud of you both!
