A car with pedigree is always a good place to start and that's exactly what powers us today. After acquiring the SportChip.ie 2015 ITCC Championship winning Seat Leon that was built and raced by company owner Grzegorz Kalinecki, 2016 has been spent developing the car further and learning it's characteristics. Greg has an impressive motorsport background and his knowledge reflects in the quality of

the car he has put together. We wanted to go a few steps further....

Aerodynamic upgrades, the ability to run wider slick tyres, gearbox modifications and further weight reduction are just a few of the reasons behind the many late nights spent finding engineering solutions that work. Having a 'little front end tap' is never good, it's even more upsetting when you kill the Stage 3 Airtec Intercooler. You know the hit is hard when you damage one of these things because they really are bullet proof. We were one of the first people to put this unit through its paces with impressive gains and superb reliability demonstrated all season.

We can't thank Team Airtec enough for supporting us yet again in the 2018 season, our car looks just as good as it performs and we are proud to display all that they can offer.

A new intercooler (and t-shirts) arrived just in time to join all of the other rebuild bits that will power us through the final race of the season. We know just how busy the factory is and are super grateful for their help.

Forwards ever.

We've made significant progress in only 6 days. After pulling the engine for an in depth inspection and repair we have moved onto the chassis and bodywork.

•The car now straight and rolling, the impact threw the car out of alignment at the front by 20mm, it's now arrow straight again.

•We have manufactured another bonnet using carbon fibre, it just needs a final trim, vent hole citing and a polish.

•New bumper, lights, slam panel and radiator installed... painting and wrapping to follow next week.

Left to do... install new turbo, charge pipes, hoses and induction kit to engine, manufacture new engine mounts, replenish all oils including DSG, repair wiring loom and replenish fire extinguisher....

Install engine and test.

Race.

Race day preparations are going well. The car has had a full spanner check today after every component for the fuel system had been removed, inspected and replaced as required.

We have fitted bigger injectors and all sensors to suit, a fuel filter that can handle more pressure and most importantly larger capacity fuel injectors.

The aero sections will remain off until mid week to allow easy access to a Dyno where we plan to calibrate the injectors to the car. Scott has just installed the more aggressive motorsport specific software and if the Sun keeps on shining we will be able to use all of our 400+ BHP on race day

A little treat tonight.... (cheat night from the cardio) we're fortunate enough to live next door to a Schnitzel Haus, Currywust mit pommes & Schinken Kartoffeln. Not a single bitburger in sight though.

And yes our race car now lives in a fully carpeted showroom 😀
