Here you’ll find club news and information, including gala results, upcoming events, and details about our volunteers. Gainsborough Dolphins Swimming Clubs aims to create an environment in which swimmers thrive and are able to reach their full potential. The club offers a variety of pathways to follow depending upon the needs/desires of the swimmer, e.g. The club caters for all ages and abilities,

from young learn to swim children through to mature swimmers with a Masters section and competitive swimming, in a friendly, caring, secure, learning environment where the individual is valued and their needs respected. Gainsborough Dolphins Swimming Club competes in the Lincolnshire Junior League, the National Swimming League sponsored by Arena and the Squadrons. The aims are to achieve times to allow swimmers to compete in the Counties, Midlands and the Nationals meets. It promises to be a busy day for many of our Development and Performance Squad swimmers, with several swimmers making their competitive debut.

𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 π‹πˆππŠ ππ‘πŽπ†π‘π€πŒπŒπ„ 🐬

We’re delighted to announce that Gainsborough Dolphins has partnered with Everyone Active to deliver the Club Link Programme! 🏊

Led by Head Coach Ben, the 6-12-week programme will run every Thursday from 6:30–7:30pm, helping young swimmers transition from Learn to Swim lessons into club swimming.

These sessions will be taking place at West Lindsey Leisure Centre.
Huge thanks to Swim Manager Zoe for helping make this project possible πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Launched by Swim England and Everyone Active, the programme is being introduced across 125 facilities nationwide to help more children progress into club swimming.

For enquiries, please speak to your Everyone Active teacher if you are currently in Stage 7 or above on the Learn to Swim programme.

We are incredibly excited to announce that Swim Swift Elite will be joining us on Sunday 5th July to deliver a series of workshops for our Development Squad and Performance Squad swimmers.

We are looking forward to welcoming former Olympians Joe Roebuck and Amy Smith to Gainsborough Dolphins for what promises to be an inspiring and enjoyable evening of learning and development.

Places must be booked through Club Organiser. Swimmers can choose one of the two available sessions, so please ensure you select the correct session when booking. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Bookings will open on Wednesday 17th June 2026 and close on Friday 3rd July 2026.

Unfortunately, bookings cannot be accepted after this date, and swimmers who have not booked a place will be unable to attend.

π‰π”ππˆπŽπ‘ 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐄 π‘πŽπ”ππƒ π“π–πŽ

We are incredibly proud of our Dolphins swimmers who represented the club at the second round of the Lincolnshire Junior League last night.

Despite having to make several unexpected last minute changes to the team, our swimmers rose to the challenge and delivered an excellent performance.

Following the opening round, Gainsborough Dolphins were placed 7th in the league standings. A team of 18 swimmers, ranging from Development Squad through to Performance Squad, competed across a variety of individual and relay events, earning valuable points against some of the strongest young swimmers from across Lincolnshire.

The team demonstrated fantastic commitment, determination and team spirit throughout the evening, with every swimmer playing an important role in the club’s success.

We also celebrated two new county qualifying times, with Jasmine achieving the standard in the 50m Backstroke and Tom securing qualification in the 50m Butterfly.

The evening saw two club records fall in impressive fashion. Chloe smashed the Girls 10 Years 50m Butterfly club record by an incredible three seconds, while Alice broke the Girls 11 Years 50m Breaststroke club record by 3.5 seconds.

Alice’s performance may also have rewritten the Lincolnshire 11 Years Short Course County Record, which has stood since 2007. We are currently awaiting official verification from Lincolnshire ASA before this can be confirmed.

A special congratulations goes to Jemima, Martha and Aaron, who all made their Lincolnshire Junior League debuts and represented the club brilliantly.

Thank you to Ben, Brett, Luan and Leanne for their hard work and support on poolside throughout the evening.

Gainsborough Dolphins finished the second round in 6th place, improving on our 7th-place finish from the opening round. It was another positive step forward for the club and a fantastic team effort from everyone involved πŸ™Œ

Last weekend, our incredible Dolphins competed at the Vulcans and Grantham Open Meet 🏊

It was a fantastic weekend of racing, with plenty of medals, personal bests and smiles all round.

Our swimmers achieved an outstanding 56 medals across the competition, ranging from gold to bronze. We also celebrated 9 new county qualifying times, along with our first new county qualifier for 2027 πŸ™ŒπŸ»

A huge thank you to Ben, Stephen, Luan, Leanne, Brett and Louise for all of your support on poolside throughout the weekend πŸ‘
