What a great night! We invited new starters from local Clubs to come along to play with our newest players, giving everyone the experience of match-play without the pressure of a league fixture. Thank you to those who travelled from as far a field as Buxton, Glossop and Hathersage.

We hosted a night of friendly Triples against players from Chapel Park this evening.

No league or match pressure tonight, just fun and laugher on the green with homemade flapjack to fuel us all at half time. Yay! 🫖🍪😊

Congratulations to Furness Vale player Emma Marnell in reaching the final of the Spencer Doubles with her partner Maureen Cotterill. It was a close fought final, with Jane Mellor and Janet Phillips eventually winning the day. Well done everyone!

Try bowls with us this Wednesday! As you can see from last week, we have lots of recent new starters so it’s a great time to join in. Free membership for the rest of the season. Just turn up this Wednesday from 6pm.

What a great turnout and a great atmosphere at this week’s Club practice. We decided to give our players a surprise…triples! In this version of bowls, six players battle it out for points aiming to get nearest the jack. Chaos? You decide. Why not come to our next open bowls night, this Wednesday 27th August at 6:30pm.

As we’re such a friendly lot, membership is now FREE for the rest of the season. Whoop! 😃

Instead of an open bowls session tonight, this Wednesday we are hosting a rather special inter-Club competition. We will be pairing up all our new starters from this year with our more experienced players, giving them a taste of what it’s like to play in a league or competition match 😊😊😊

If you’re interested in finding out more about bowls or getting a feel for what our Club is like, it’ll be a great night. Do come along to watch! The comp starts at 6:45pm.
