The National White Water Centre is a Not For Profit organisation that has been funding paddlesports in Wales since 1983. We offer fantastic white water adventures on the natural rapids of the River Tryweryn, as well as local canyoning escapades. We are a favourite venue for recreational white water kayaking and canoeing and host numerous white water competitions annually. ACTIVITIES:

ULTIMATE SESSION
What we are offering is more akin to rafting abroad than it is to a UK rafting / river float trip. The flow is dam-released so it's bigger than any UK river could hope to offer on a typical day. Whilst we can't guarantee the sunshine, we can guarantee continuous stacked rapids every single time we raft. RAPID SESSION
This trip is a fantastic shorter session, consisting of two runs down our world class rapids. It provides an exciting whitewater rafting experience for those who are on a budget or are time-limited; perhaps trying to fit this in as a multi-activity day or as a quick adventure on the way into / out of Eryri (Snowdonia). https://www.nationalwhitewatercentre.co.uk/rapid-session

RAFTING SAFARI
The Raft Safari is also on the Tryweryn, but it is on the lower section where the gradient is less steep. This is more of a river journey, starting at the centre and travelling 4 miles to Bala. CANYONING
Climb, swim and slide through a pristine Welsh river. An offsite adventure where you will traverse, jump, scramble, slide and swim to descend the drops and pools of a steep mountain river. https://www.nationalwhitewatercentre.co.uk/canyoning

ORCA EXTREME
The session for the seriously adventurous. Under our expert instruction you will learn to take on the rapids yourself in a 2 person raft. Only for those with previous white water paddling or rafting experience; this is an extreme session.

There's just one place left on Matt Stephenson's Youth Whitewater Coaching session on 12th September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young paddlers to hit the Tryweryn, and pick up some impressive tricks from Matt. They'll enjoy a brilliant session alongside other kids of a similar age.

Whether their aim is surfing their very first wave, landing huge front loops, or bettering their parents, anything is possible!

We love seeing the young folk building the confidence to paddle safely and independently, all while having the absolute best time on the river!
