Our pose of the week is SALAMBA BHUJANGASANA (SPHINX POSE):

Take a look at some of the benefits of SALAMBA BHUJANGASANA:

* Strengthens the spine
* Tones the glutes
* Stretches the chest, lungs, shoulders and abdomen
* Helps to relieve stress
* Stimulates abdominal organs
* Traditional texts also say that Sphinx increases body heat, destroys disease and awakens Kundalini

Hello team, it’s me again! Back and ready for a “Fabulously Fit with Rhiannon -
The Yoga Edition” class this evening! I’m very much looking forward to Stretch and Release, the class I PLANNED to give last week before being struck down with a cold!

Our pose of the week is SUPTA PADANGUSTHASANA (RECLINING HAND TO FOOT POSE).

Take a look at some of the benefits of SUPTA PADANGUSTHASANA:

* Stretches hips, thighs, hamstrings, groins, and calves
* Strengthens the knees
* Stimulates prostate gland
* Improves digestion
* Relieves backache, sciatica and menstrual discomfort
* Therapeutic for high blood pressure, flat feet and infertility

You can always use a strap if you can’t quite reach your feet 😊

Getting Curious! The title of this weeks Yoga Class :)

Yoga can be about many things, but in this weeks class I want us to focus on how FUN it is! How our bodies feel as we move through our poses, what our state of mind is.

Supta Baddha Konasana! Last weeks pose of the week was one of my personal favourites. So comfortable, so relaxing 😍

Here are some pictures of my in Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Bound Angle Pose or Butterfly!) on a recent walk at Westbury White Horse. Remember, you can practice yoga ANYWHERE! (Within reason 🤣)

If you need more reason to try this pose, here is a little list!

* Stimulates abdominal organs like the ovaries and prostate gland, bladder and kidneys
* Stimulates the heart, improving genera circulation
* Relieves symptoms of stress, mild depression
* Helps relieve symptoms of mensuration and menopause
* Stretches inner thigh, groin and knees

Wondering what we have in store this week? Just wait and see! We will be ramping it up a notch with some heat building flows as we “flow” into autumn 😁

I can’t believe week 4 of our Summer Time Strength Series is here! It’s been a blast :) I hope you have all enjoyed it so far and are ready for the final instalment this week :)

From this week on, class will only be held on Wednesday at 6pm. The Tuesday class is cancelled until further notice. Please do get in touch if this may be an issue!!

So, for our final SummerTime Strength class, our pose of the week is EKA PADA RAJAKAPOTASANA or PIGEON POSE.

Some of the benefits of PIGEON POSE are listed below:

* Stretches the thighs, groin and psoas
* Stretches the neck, chest, shoulders and abdomen
* Stimulates the abdominal organs
* Opens the shoulders and chest

Week 3 of our Summer Time Strength Series is upon us 🙂 how time flies when you are having fun!

This week we are focusing on our and , strengthening, stretching and generally feeling FABULOUS!

Our pose of the week is UTKATASANA (CHAIR POSE). Some of the benefits of Chair Pose are:

* Strengthens the ankles, thighs, calves and spine
* Stretches chest and shoulders
* Stimulates abdominal organs
*Stimulates the diaphragm and heart
* Therapeutic for flat feet

So come and work your legs and glutes with a fun, fast(ish) paced class that will leave you feeling strong, stretched and FABULOUS!

I’m so excited to start The Yoga Editions Summer Time Strength Series today! This is a 4 week yoga series where we will focus each week on an area of the body, working through a range of asanas to build strength and HAVE FUN!!

We have had 2 weeks off so I am hoping that like me, you can’t wait to get back together on the mat! (Via zoom of course!)

For our first Summer Time Strength pose of the week is ANANDA BALASANA (HAPPY BABY POSE).

Keep Calm and RELAX! The focus of this weeks Fabulous Fit with Rhiannon Yoga Class is RELAXATION. We will be mindfully moving through some poses intended to relax and calm both body and mind. I don’t know about you but I feel it is well needed!

Our pose of the week is SALAMBA SARVANGASANA (SUPPORTED SHOULDER STAND).

Take a look at some of the benefits of SUPPORTED SHOULDER STAND:

* Calms the brain and helps relieve stress and mild depression

Our pose of the week is VIRABHADRASANA II (WARRIOR 2).

She started working with me when I had broken my foot during lockdown, and the weekly online sessions with her helped me to get back of my feet again, stronger than before!
