The pond will be closed for the rest of the week and over the weekend.

Well what can we say that was a tough weeks fishing. But what a lovely time we all had at Bakers pond fishery the lake is beautiful and holds some wonderful carp and a few monster Catfish. The lodge that we stayed in is beautiful 5 star accommodation we really enjoyed staying there so peaceful and away from the rest of the world.

Fishing was hard water levels are low at the moment lack of oxygen and no rain for months now is making it hard work at most places. But we tried hard fished hard and made the most of it and caught a few carp and a monster catfish twice.

Beautiful place Nunney aswell lots to do and sea sides not far away definitely the place for a family fishing holiday in Somerset or just a social with the lads this is definitely a up and coming venue and one to watch for the future.

We would like to say a Big Thank You to Harry Baker and his family for looking after us for the week we really appreciate it. Big Thanks to Jess for grooming Tilly aswell.

Sophie caught this beautiful old original common last night that was stocked many years ago by harrys Grandad it could be around 45 years old that’s mental and still in perfect condition like all the fish here at Bakers pond fishery always nice to catch them old fish. Sophie was pleased 👩🏼🔥🎣

Great start to this beautiful morning for Sophie early morning 5.00am wake up call. Sophies first carp from Bakers pond fishery it’s going to be another hot day so will see what happens hopefully a few more 🤞🏻🎣

🔥🔥 🔥New PB Wels Catfish 🔥🔥🔥

52lb 2oz this beautiful catfish went and hasn’t been caught out of Bakers pond fishery for over 10 years. Sophie caught this fish on a spinner rig using a pink pop up over marine pallet . Gave a good battle before we had to jump in the lake to land it.

Not seen many catfish with beautiful green markings like this one before. Mite be another 10 years before we see one again lol 😂 🐋🐋🐋👩🏼🧑🏼‍🦲🔥🔥🎣🎣

Well after the last couple of days of super hot weather in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and all the other troubles be been over the last couple of days at Bakers pond fishery we finally have a fish on the bank. A beautiful 21lb 6oz mirror sadly not from Sophie but i managed one early this morning around first light.

We have been working hard to try and catch the carp in the lake but its definitely been against us but we keep trying. Yesterday evening was the first time we see carp feeding and looking a lot more happier harry the owner has started adding more water and the aerator is doing its job so when it cooled down the carp came back to life.

Hopefully over the next couple of days we can catch a few more and hopefully Sophie will get a few aswell. She definitely deserves it for her efforts in this weather.

We have been out to Nunney Castle and to Weston-super-Mare sea side over the last couple of days aswell its been a lovely trip so hopefully we can keep enjoying it with a few more beautiful carp over the coming days 🤞🏻🤞🏻🎣🔥👌🏻👩🏼🧑🏼‍🦲🐶

I’ve taken the decision to close for the foreseeable as the fish have started to spawn. If you have any bookings this week please contact me to reschedule. I will monitor the pond over the next few days and keep you updated!
