Game Week 9✅🏏

1st Team - The 1s travelled to Mayfield looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat last weekend to Ringmer and that they did! Losing the toss and being out into bat we put on 267 with contributions from McRae (46), Zia (53) and Jamie with 63. We kept it tight with the ball and bowled Mayfeidl out for 140 with Jamie the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. MOM Jamie Francies for his 63 with the bat and 3 wickets with the ball.
 
2nd Team - Harry and the 2s welcomed Hastings & St Leonards to the Dean where it was a battle of the undefeated teams. East dean won the toss and put the vistos into bat and well… it was dominate display bowling Hastings out for just 80 in just 26 overs with Paul making it look easy taking 4 wickets for just 9 runs from 9 overs! Harry and Simon opened the batting and saw the team home taking just 11 overs to chase the runs down! MOM - Paul for this unbelievable bowling figures.

Sunday - We batted first, with Mark and Phil giving a solid start. Shirshah (quick 30) and Bahadur led the scoring, while Gats added steady runs. A brief collapse followed. With the ball, Bahadur struck early, and Panky starred with 5 wickets, supported by Ollie (2) and Shirshah finishing it off. Strong all-round team performance. MOM - James Gatward for his solid red inker of 69!

Every Sunday morning from 11 to 12 midday, these incredible volunteers dedicate their time to give 50 children aged 5 to 11 the chance to discover the joy of cricket at East Dean Cricket Ground. Your passion and commitment inspire the next generation of club cricketers, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

We’re excited to announce that East Dean And Friston Cricket Club has just launched our very own ladies team! 🌼

**🏃‍♀️ Training Sessions:**
Every Thursday at 5:30 PM
📍 East Dean And Friston Cricket Club

We currently have 10 amazing ladies on board, and we’re eager to recruit more! Whether you played at school or are a recent club player, all experience levels are welcome. Our goal? To organize friendly fixtures with local clubs and have a great time doing it!

**What to Expect:**
- **Training Routines** covering batting, fielding, bowling, and more!
- All facilities and equipment provided.
- A fun and welcoming atmosphere!

We’re also planning some exciting events, including watching the Women’s World Cup T20 at the club soon! 🎉

**Who Can Join?**

GAME WEEK 8 ✅🏏

1s -the 1st team took on Ringmer at the dean looking to continue you the win streak but fell short and Ringmer ended up taking the 30 points on a very frustrating day for the boys!

MOM - varney.J with bowling figures of - 5.5-2-30-6

2s - The 2nd team travelled to seaford and well it was a very dominant display from the boys with some serious scores with the bat! McRae with 70, Borsoi with 51* and Caylan with 90 set the bowlers a good target to bowl at. Multiple contributions with the ball Simon (3 wickets) and Jimsha and Chris (2 wickets) saw us claim a big win.

MOM - for his 90

Sunday - Sunday team welcomed Nuthurst to the dean where we dominated with the bat setting the opposition 210 to win. and Gates both the stand outs with with 50* and 49*. On the bowling side we kept it very tight with Shabin Sajan the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. Big W for the Sunday team against a good side!

MOM - for his 50* and being a Trojan in the field!
