🇬🇧 ANNOUNCEMENT 🇬🇧

Over the last few months, our Great Britain Horseball squads have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes, training, preparing, and giving their all as we build towards the biggest event of the international calendar!

We are delighted to share that our Team GBR Horseball squads are heading to Lamotte Beuvron, France this August to compete in the FIHB European Championships 2026! 🇫🇷🐴⚽

This is a LANDMARK year for British Horseball, as for the very first time in our history we will have FOUR GBR teams competing at the same international event! ❤🤍💙

This is truly one not to be missed! The energy from our Great Britain supporters is going to be electric, and we absolutely cannot wait to be out there flying the GB flag, cheering on our teams, and showcasing British Horseball on the European stage! 🇬🇧

Over the next few days, keep an eye out as we officially announce each of our 2026 Team GBR squads!

As we begin the countdown to Lamotte Beuvron, be sure to follow our social media channels to keep up to date with team news, training updates, player announcements, and all the action leading up to the Championships. 🐴⚽

An exciting and successful first weekend of the season for Melton⚽️💙

FIRSTLY Melton are pleased to announce a new sponsor this season UK Building Compliance, we are so thankful for our new set of tops and hoodies to train in and keep our players warm of the pitch 🖤 please give them a like and share 🩷

Stage 1 saw us welcoming new players to both our Division2 and U16 with one stepping on to the pitch for the very first time, this meant one of our division2 also stepped up to play in her first pro elite weekend! As well as new players, new horses/ponies were introduced to melton this weekend and most took it in there stride and behaved extremely well (except for one naughty little grey unfortunately getting a white card - showing that it’s not always rainbows and ribbons)!

We are proud to come away with 3 wins - u16 winning both matches and Division 2 coming away with 1 win and a draw. Our pro elite team had a tough and disappointing weekend, leaving with a hard fought 8-6 result to Derby!

Its also been great to see a handful of our horses returning back to the pitch after injuries - fingers crossed we get the remaining sick notes back for next weekend 🤞🏻

As always the weekend couldn’t be complete without a dismount from player Liam (I’ve got this part copied and pasted at this point) no broken bones this time 😅

We are extremely proud of every single one of our club members supporting each other on and off the pitch showing real team spirit this weekend 🩵

You may have already spotted over on Sportity that we’ve made a few updates to the 2026 BHA calendar - including the addition of an exciting brand new event this summer! ☀️

Following the huge success of Melton’s Easter event last year, which was a massive hit with players across all categories, Melton Horseball Club are back with another fantastic opportunity…

🔥 Melton Horseball Development Weekend 🔥
📅 Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd August 2026
📍 Melton Horseball Club

This weekend will run as a development clinic with top-level international FIHB referee and player Loic Segear - offering a brilliant chance to learn, develop, and take your game to the next level!

🔹 Open primarily to division 2 & 3 players, U16s in development, and referees working towards an FIHB qualification
🔹 Groups will be organised based on entries to ensure the best learning experience
🔹 Referee clinic will run alongside (subject to interest)
🔹 Limited riding spaces (16–18 places in total)
🔹 Camping on-site available
🔹 Saturday night BBQ
