West Wight Triathlon The West Wight Triathlon is an ideal race for first timers but challenging enough for more experienced racers.

The popular West Wight Triathlon is an ideal race for first timers but challenging enough for more experienced racers. With its spectacular cycle along the Military Road, along the south west coast of the Isle of Wight and flat run along the picturesque River Yar, you couldn't ask for a better place to race! The transition is in the field adjoining the Sports Centre where the pool is located. Onsite facilities include showers, lockers and cafe.

West Wight Sports & Community Centre has been forced to close as a sports centre during the Coronavirus pandemic. We are now coordinating the West Wight Coronavirus support network and leading our community response to the current crisis.

Update on West Wight Sports & Community Centre Events for 2020:

Cabaret Friday 13 March - Postponed
Easter Quiz Friday 17 April - Postponed
Mexican Feast Friday 24 April - Postponed
Chessell Chase - Cancelled

All other events from May onwards are still going ahead as planned. We are reviewing the situation regularly and we will contact everyone in due course if a decision is made to cancel events but we are working hard to continue as normal whilst ensuring the health and safety of our staff, members and the community remain paramount.
