EPISODE 6 — KHUMBU, the meaning behind the name.
Khumbu is the final glacier you have to overcome when climbing Everest. The thinking behind the name is simple — the biggest challenge isn’t always at the end. Sometimes it’s everything you have to overcome just to get there.
For Khumbu 56, that means turning 16 individuals into one team.
During the Channel Race, a mechanical failure left us with no steering, a huge kite still up and a boat being dragged sideways. In the middle of the chaos, the priority was simple: stay calm, work together and keep everyone safe.
Narrated by owner and driver Guy Gillon, Episode 6 is about adversity, teamwork, and what Khumbu really means.
