Tonight we take on Ardallie in the Ardallie cup group stage. A win tonight will put us in good stead to make it through to the semi finals but we need to get that result and all support will be greatly appreciated if you can make it along 🤙🏻!!

Peterhead United 5 - New Pitsligo 3

This past Tuesday we played our first game of the ardallie cup group stage which unfortunately ended in defeat but not for a lack of trying!!

First 10 minutes started really well for us until we started conceding corners where we conceded the first 2 goals from and then a 3rd from a cross into the box giving the peterheed player a first half hat-trick. HT 3-0 peterheed.

Into second half started fairly similar but wasn’t long before we conceded another goal and we were 4-0 down. That seemed to be what pitsliga needed to start a comeback, starting with a screamer from Ross Davidson from well out and the keeper had no chance with started the comeback now 4-1.
With pitsliga getting plenty of the ball after the first goal and playing good fitba Leon found himself on the by line cutting it back to the penalty spot where Ross Penny found himself there from left back to blast it into the net making sure we were coming back. 4-2

Our 3rd goal came from a free kick awarded just outside 18 yard box where Leon Park stepped up to take it and score a cracking goal low and hard into the corner!

Unfortunately with our pressing left us exposed at the back for the Peterhead substitute to score a 5th goal for the hosts and see them win the first game of the group.

Harvey had a great game playing in front of the defence in an unusual position for him in a central midfield role but putting in a great performance with his heading, passing and grit into tackles was like watching a prime Roy Keane all over again 🤣 but joking aside Harvey you were awesome well done keep it up 👏🏻

Boddam 1 - New Pitsligo 6

This past Friday seen us travel to boddam for another great game of plenty goals for the Cyaak and some fine fitba to go along with it.

2 great finishes each from both Jaimie and Leon who took their goals well. Also a screamer of a shot from about 20-25 yards out from Jack Donaldson and a fine finish from Ross Davidson seen us cruise through and claim 3 points on the night and another great victory from the lads!

Leon Park - With 2 goals to his name and with his usual great hold up play and balls into the box made sure he was man of the match and not his first one this season. New Pitsligo 6 Ardallie 2

A few weeks ago after what seemed like a long break due to cup games we got back into the competitive matches and it was a great start.

There were many positives to take from the game with Kieran getting onto the score sheet to score 4 was obviously deservedly man of the match. A goal from Leon and Dylan also seen it over the line with a scrappy spell into second half seeing the visitors score 2 goals in quick succession but thankfully we seen the game out with 6 on the score sheet!!

New Pitsligo 3 Buchanhaven hearts U18s 2

This past Tuesday was a friendly game as we have a break from competitive matches and it wasn’t an easy game against a good young team coming through.

We played 3-30 minute halves with the first 30 seeing both teams at stale mate but the young side having the better of the chances.

Into the 2nd 30 and deadlock was broken by the young side with a good through ball seeing the striker tuck it in low into the bottom right corner. Later on in the half seen a decent corner in by Jack Donaldson being half cleared by the young defender only to fall to Ross Michie who made no mistake at rifling in it from close range making it 1-1.
Another corner in the same half at the same side seen another decent delivery from Jack and the young side unable to clear and Jaimie Ramsay steps up to make no mistake either in putting it in the back of the net and letting the keeper know about it 😂!

The last half started with a bit of miscommunication from pitsliga at the back from the throw and the young team pouncing and making sure they got themselves back in the game to make it 2-2.

Unfortunately for them it didn’t last long as a ball through to Connor Milne on the wing seen him square the ball all the way through to the back post for Ross Michie again to grab his brace for the evening and get the winning goal to make it 3-2 at full time.

Definitely not easy and could see the fitness levels between the 2 sides on the young teams side but maybe experience won the game on the night but the young lads should be very happy with themselves and to Buchanhaven Hearts Jfc who have a great development team on their hands and all credit to them for the future and hope they stick in this season and for many more to come well done lads 👏🏻👏🏻

Bruckley Cup action tonight as Boddam travel to face New Pitsligo Football Club in the quarter final.

With 1 win each against each other so far this season, both teams will be looking to progress to the semi final.

New Pitsligo 2 - New Deer 0

New Deer started on the front foot closing everything down and pitsliga were struggling to keep possession. As we held our ground we started to slowly find rhythm with a few through balls finding Jamie Ramsay with one of them going into the net with a fine left footed strike seen us 1-0 up right on the stroke of half time.

Second half was much the same with Robert in goal having not much to do and we finally got our second with a shot again from Jamie saved by the keeper bounced up and found the head of Jack Donaldson to make it 2-0 and see the game out to give us a much needed 3 points.

New Pitsligo 1 - Faithlie 3

Last Tuesday was a disappointing result for us as we went crashing out of the Bruce Lawson cup with a disappointing performance to follow.

Gave away a penalty very early on but Robert did well to save it but pitsliga weren’t quick enough to respond and we’re down 1-0.
Shortly after we went another goal down after losing possession as we were attacking broke to Faithlie and played the ball through for the striker to make it 2.

After half time the Faithlie keeper got sent off for raising his hands after a foul and seen them down to 10 men. Managed to get a goal back with a great strike from Jack Cowie but wasn’t to last as 10 men Faithlie claimed another goal back later on and the game finished 3-1 to them.

Another disappointing result on Friday night falling to defeat again where in the league 3 points is vital.

Had a good first half going 2-1 up with 2 well worked goals by Corran Miller and Jordan Osler but conceding through a poor defended corner.

Second half was a different story not being able to convert chances putting pressure on to see the game clear backfired and seen us concede another 2 goals and Lizzie walk away with all 3 points.

New Pitsligo 0 - Macduff 3

Friday wasn’t near the standard the lads have set for the season and fell well short of the result we needed a disappointing game needed a response in the next game against new deer in the Bruce Lawson cup that we played in last night

Last nights game was definitely what we needed to bounce back from Fridays game but we had to work very hard to get the goals which came later on into the second half.

A goal from Dylan Anderson and one from Jack Donaldson seen us through to the next round against Faithlie this coming Tuesday which will guarantee another tough test but one we will take with both hands and hopefully see ourselves through to the next round.
