The mighty River Findhorn is one of the fastest flowing rivers in Scotland and is fed by around 346 square miles of catchment. It is one of Scotland's last wild rivers stretching 62 miles from its source in the Monadhliath Mountains and eventually flowing out to sea at Moray Firth. We are the only rafting company who run trips constantly all year round on the Findhorn River. We run a number of sections as both half and full days, tailoring trips to suit: families, corporate groups, Stag and Hen parties etc. The Full day Rafting and Cliff Jump sees the highs of Grade 5 Scottish rafting with the added adrenaline rush of cliff jumping, where the Family Rafting trip flows down a number of exciting Grade 3 rapids showing off the Findhorn's wondrous beauty. The Family Rafting section also gives you a chance to get closer to the action if you opt to take an inflatable kayak or canoe! While rafting down the Findhorn you will feel the real wilderness about the area while still being close to the coast and civilization, touching places you would never get to on foot. The Findhorn carves its way through incredible rock formations of Gneiss and Granite strata, deep gorges lined with ancient forests of pines, birch, ash and oaks; it is hard to believe you are still in Scotland! The water steeped in tannin from the highland heather moors resembles a cascade of Coca-Cola as it chuckles over the shingle beds, boulders and bedrock on its swift journey to the salty Findhorn Bay.
