Let’s Start the Year Strong Together with EVOLVE

With the New Year here, many of us are thinking about setting health, fitness, and exercise goals. Maybe you’re excited to make a change, but you’re not quite sure where to start, or maybe you feel a bit overwhelmed. That’s completely normal—and I want to help.

I created EVOLVE to empower you to take ownership of your health in a way that feels personal and sustainable. It’s not about following a one-size-fits-all plan. It’s about giving you the tools and confidence to design something that works for YOU.

To get you started, I’m offering a free 7-day mini-course of short, pre-recorded webinars starting 6th January. Each webinar is just 5-15 minutes—small enough to fit into your day but packed with ideas and strategies you can start using right away.

Here’s what we’ll cover over the week:

A young personal trainer who runs a gym in Forres and the only neurological support centre in Moray, can now offer her services for sufferers of neurologial conditions across the UK, thanks to a grant from Scottish Edge.

Mollie Powney became one of Scotland’s youngest Personal Trainers when she qualified after a year’s work experience at Life and Sole on the Forres Enterprise Park in 2017, just after her 17th birthday.

Now, she has set up Project Neuro LTD which can help people all over the UK, through an online portal, with conditions such as MS, Parkinsons, Stroke and FND.

A recent survey published by UK active found that 44% of Scotlands population have become less active than what they were pre covid.

So let’s stop focusing on short term quick fixes and have a regular conversation on how we can recognise and change behaviours to promote autonomy & confidence in exercise, nutrition & stress management.

The fitness industry has created the perception that:

If it’s not on your socials, were you really at the gym? ❌

If you don’t upload weekly transformation pics, do you really want to change? ❌

If you don’t upload your food intake, your not meeting your ‘calorie targets’ ❌

This puts so much pressure on people and the reason why I never ask clients to upload pics or take videos for my social media marketing.

I’m not saying these are bad methods of tracking process and not to do it but what I am saying is don’t do it for other peoples approval!

Do it for yourself! ✅

Do it because it makes you feel good ✅

Do it because you want to ✅

You don’t have to share your health & fitness journey with everyone if you don’t want to!

I speak to a lot of people who will wait until after their birthday celebrations, holiday, family wedding, the weekend before they commit to an exercise programme for so many weeks because they want to have a good run at it without any interruptions.

But the reality is, unless you want to give up your life, there’s always going to be life events. So instead of wanting to give up everything, why not try to find balance in everything you do.

Enjoy your holiday, party or whatever the event is and instead of going all in or out - you can enjoy a few drinks instead of 10 🍺, enjoy food without over eating and continue to move a little every day whether that’s walking, a little 20 minute body weight or gym session or swimming some lengths in the pool (the dream).

So instead of thinking you need to avoid all these events to get healthy, why not embrace them as part of your journey to find balance in a lifestyle which is sustainable and enjoyable to you!

I’m going to be honest with you! I can’t guarantee you your goal in 12 weeks. But what I can guarantee is giving you the tools & support you need to get to you’ve goals in a healthy & sustainable way and the best thing about this? When you do achieve your goals you’ll know exactly what you have to do to maintain them or to go and get your next big goal!

Remember, anything worth having takes time.

Many people are discouraged to participate in exercise because they feel pain in their feet, knees, lower back, hip or shoulder.

An example of this is one of my clients previously got lower back pain whenever he done deadlifts or squats.

His back pain stemmed from having a hiked pelvis (one side of his pelvis being higher than the other). Once we identified this, we were able to give him an exercise which encouraged his pelvis to hike & drop on both sides.

A couple of adjustments to his technique and 2 weeks later he was able to smash a 100kg squat & deadlift for the first time without pain.

He actually says he enjoys both of these exercises now!
