For a 2, 3 or 4 year old, this is a big deal… 👏
Standing in a line, when they’ve taken their bow at the end and waiting patiently for their turn to choose a sticker might seem like a very small thing.
But at this age, it’s a big achievement.
They’re learning to wait, take turns, follow a simple routine and understand that they don’t always get to go first.
These are the same skills they’ll be using when they start nursery or school, waiting their turn, listening to instructions, being part of a group and managing little moments of frustration.
And it doesn’t stop at the sticker queue.
When we finish an activity, the children help to put the equipment away and tidy up. They’re learning responsibility, independence and that we all have a part to play.
We’re dancing, of course, but we’re also giving them lots of opportunities to practise those everyday skills that will help them as they grow. 🩰❤️
