๐ฆ Local Wildlife Spotlight: The Feathered Residents of Forfar Loch! ๐ฆข
๐ If youโve taken a stroll of the 4km loop around Forfar Loch recently, youโve probably noticed we share the path (and the water) with some absolutely stunning neighbours. Whether youโre a keen birdwatcher or just out for a dog walk or a jog, our local patch is teeming with birdlife right now.
๐ Next time you're out, keep your eyes peeled for these regulars:
โจ The Elegant Mute Swans: Unmistakable and regal, watching them glide across the calm morning water never gets old.
๐ฆ Our Quirky Ducks: From familiar Mallards to diving Tufted Ducks and great crested grebes popping under the surface, there's always a bit of drama happening in the shallows.
๐ชต The Patient Grey Heron: Look closely near the reedbeds and wooded shorelines! They look like living statues, perfectly still, waiting for the perfect moment to strike for a fish.
Bonus Summer Spots: If you are incredibly lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of an Osprey sweeping in to fish during the warmer months! ๐ฆ
